luv the food / employees need to step it up.
I have loved this place since it opened in 1977. It has made a few changes over the years but one thing remained the same and that is the high quality food. Burgers mesquite brioled, all the condiments you want & put them on yourself (no mistakes here) . Great place for kids & familys, Dad can have his burger and a beer, Mom a broiled chicken sandwich & or salad bar W/ a glass of wine and the kids can go nuts W/ burgers milkshakes fries, onion rings and play some video games while the adults chat and watch sports.
I have only a couple of criticisms though; When We have been in & it was on a weekend afternoon, They seemed understaffed. It was confusing as the boy cooking on the grill took the order of some customers in front of us but when we got to the window he told us to order at the end where you pick up your food and where the cash register you pay is at. Then when we went down there the girl sent us back to the order window. This back and forth went on 2 or 3 times before our order was finally taken. The order then took @15 minutes, I realize they cook from scratch but the fact that there were only 2 employees in the kitchen aera definately prevented the orders from being taken promptly and put on the grill right away. Also the employees, all three of them (one was bussing tables) attitudes showed absolutely no sense of urgency!! That is if you are busy it is time to pick up the pace, get moving etc. This was not happining they all moved at one steady "the orders will get out later rather than sooner because I am not going to work up a sweat or move any faster.

I love this place. This is a seat yourself restaurant. Read the menu on the wall and then place your order at the order window. The cashier will call your name when your order is ready and then you then pay and pickup at a separate window. The tables in the restaurant are covered with copper. The burgers are very tasty. The condiment table has always had plenty of everything I want; lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, mayo, jalapenos etc. There is also an adjacent sports bar if you want something other then a soft drink with your meal. You can also dine in the bar instead of the restaurant. Be sure to try an order of half onion rings half fries.
Beef Worth the Extra Buck.
The food speaks for itself here. The burgers are served up straight from the grill nice and hot. Fresh condiments of all kinds (lettuce, onions, and anything else you could ever want on a burger) are served from a salad-bar-style cart. Burgers are only slightly more expensive than fast-food and definitely worth the $. The resturant has a vintage theme to it that is a throwback to the earlier days of Arizona. A classic burger joint.
