User review by balgus – This is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant that cooks its food right in front of you. The gyros here are sumptious. The chicken kabob is moist and tender. The hot sauce is a wonderful compliment to the food. Also try the fresh squeezed juice - the drinks are hand squeezed and incredibly frothy. The service is friendly and you can get a filling meal for very cheap. The restaurant is not very big but rest assured, you'll be very satisfied!
What is in a name? – While it may not sell a single falafel on Ben Yehuda Street, this little Middle Eastern sandwich stand on Pico Blvd. is as good as it's name. For $4.25 more or less you will get a fresh falafel sandwich with hummus and tahini. Life-size instructions on how to eat your falafel -- desert-people style -- are painted, mural-like on the wall. Hungry Pocket is a weekday-only spot tho because the owner (and master falafel-maker) is off on the weekend and his employees -- obviously devotees of hot peppers -- sneak firey spices into the mix!
LOVE THIS PLACE! – i love the falafel sandwiches here. piping hot and mmm mmm good. the staff is really friendly too. i love sitting at the counter and striking up a conversation with them. check out the freshly made dolmas too. it rocks!!!
