The haircut I always wanted – I don't have the best hair in the world but my girlfriend recommended this place and I went. I saw
Violet and she made me look good, really good for the first time ever . So now I know where to go to look good.
Oh I LOVE your hair!!!! Who do you go to!? – That is a question I get asked a lot! And I owe it to Jericho. I actually get my hair both cut and colored by him on the Central Coast, and I don't know what I would do without him! Even if he might think his "original" statements are cheesy, both the conversation and the cutting leave me feeling enlightened, refreshed, and hopeful that beauty does exist (with a little help from my Jer.)
Haha Jericho, sorry man – sorry about my girlfriend man, I tried to explain why we left her behind but she wasn't having it - now I know what she meant by revenge, haha. See you in a month, bro. If we don't break up first I'll have her take down her bad review. If we do, oh well - sorry man. Haha
Riva is really great – My hair has never looked this good before! Riva has been cutting my hair for a year or so, and I'll stay with her forever if I can! Her cuts are stylish and perfect for my work as a designer. People keep asking me who cuts my hair. Ask for Riva - you won't be disappointed.
Diane is AMAZING – I have blonde hair and I am really particular about my hair. She did an amazing job and she is so funny and real. Its the best I've ever looked EVER.
The salon is big and is really busy, but the girl at the desk was really nice and everyone was cool especially the girl who styled my hair she made is straight and ironed it for me . I felt like a million bucks when I left and my boyfriend loved it too.
JERICHO WAS THE WORST STYLIST EVER!!! – I am not one to spread bad news but in this case I feel I have an obligation to anyone who is looking for a good haircut...Jericho at Piero is NOT the stylist to go to. He was arrogant, did not listen to what I wanted and when he was done shredding my hair (literally taking the scissors to it like he was an inebriated Edward Scissor Hands) he proceeded to style it without listening at all to what I would like. He didn't take into consideration my lifestyle or personality whatsoever. He couldn't hear me over his hairdryer yet he kept asking me ridiculous questions! So aggravating! The absolute worst! Sorry Jericho but this is the truth...Chill out, maybe take a break from cutting hair. You seemed on edge and kinda crazy.
Tracey is AMAZING!!!!! – I needed a quick trim for a big family party and could not get into my usual beverly hills stylist. I tried Piero's after a girlfriend recommended it. She said Tracey was great with all sorts of hair types, especially curly! The only down side is she is only there on Sundays. But from what I hear the salon is alot more calm and relaxed then anyways. She blew my other stylist right out of the water!! The price was so reasonable and the quality was beyond my expectations. She is soo sweet and totally listens to what you need. My hair falls in place every time and her blowdries last me all work week. She is so amazing !!
Hair to dye for!!! – So after finding Rebecca Bacon in the Daily Candy Archives... I was searching for a new stylist and my friend had mentioned finding one this way.... I made an appointment at the upbeat Piero Salon.
Rebecca took such care in reviewig my prior hair situation and began creating a haircut that I could just tell was working even as she was cutting it! Then she gave me highlights a yumi caramel that accentuated the cut and brightened me up immediatly... this was the best hair experience I have had hand's down.
Rebecca was a graceful combination of fun and focused and I left feeling like a million buck's.
Overpriced and over-hyped – It's been weeks now since my trim and hilights and I still cant believe that I payed nearly $200 for a hairstyle that took less than 1 hour! It's a nice salon and the stylist, who was mentioned on the daily candy, was fairly nice, but my hair looked like I needed a touch-up immediately after leaving the salon! It barely looked different than before I went in except for very few small hilights that I could have done at home myself. It wasn't an awful experience, but overall I felt like I was rushed and I just can't get over the fact that I look in the mirror and see hair that still needs work. For the money I spent, I just expected more.
Fabulous!! – Got partial highlights herefrom Diane. She's BRILLIANT! I got exactly what I asked for, exactly what I wanted. Diane is thorough, talented (if a bit overextended--so busy!). My hair positively shimmers. My highlights go wonderfully with my skintone, hair type and hair texture. Prices are really reasonable for this neighborhood, and unbeatable for the quality. If you want a relaxing experience, however, don't count on it. It's hot in there, the salon's all windows, and it's tucked into an airless corner of a glorified strip mall. The cement floors and high ceilings subject you to all the loud chatter (and there's PLENTY of it in this really busy spot). However, there is a really good chair-masseuse who works there, she can ease the tension. And Q's friendly, attentive assistance will totally calm your nerves if they get frayed by all the constant buzz.
