Just OK. The food there is just ok. If you want some better ones, drive another 10 miles east to the monterey park/san gabriel area.

Great place for Dim Sum. From the outside, this restaurant isn't very impressive. In fact it looks like just a rectangular white office building with a curtained door. Don't let the downplayed exterior turn you off. They serve pretty good dim sum served fresh and hot. Again, like many restaurants in Chinatown, they focus on seafood so expect to see shrimp in almost anything. This is one of the regular places we rotate through for dim sum in Chinatown. Give it try.

Cheap Group Dining. ABC is a nice place to go for large groups and dim sum. Parking is limited on the weekends. There's a free parking area in the back; however, parking in this area is only one short row. When we arrived at the restaurant, our first impression was, "wo, this isn't the nicest looking place from the outside." But once we went inside, everything was much more appealing. We were a party of 13 and everybody seemed to enjoy the dishes. The bill came out to a very affordable $130. Dim sum is served from 8am to 3pm.

Good Dim-Sum at a Fair price!. I went here for Lunch-Dim Sum on a weekday. I've been to other "nicer looking" dim-sum places in Chinatown but was always a bit disappointed because of the price. Lets be honest, dim sum is dim sum and you are going to get the same dishes in 99% of the dim sum places you go so I rate dim sum places based on value and service. The food was very good for the price and wait staff is very attentive. This place is a bit off the beaten path so it seemed like a good number of locals were there. When I was there, there were a group of asian guys in shirts/ties, a "anglo" couple, a old chinese couple, hispanic/african-american co-workers, and others. The resturant is aging a bit and there is tape on some of the chairs and you can notice the bad pink paint job on the walls but I tend to like places like this. The parking is free (if you can find a spot), dim sum staff is very nice, you wont get over charged, and they refilled our tea 3 times (we didn't have to ask). Bottom-line- I'd go back but I'd come with friends, not a date that I was trying to impress .

Fresh seafood at moderate prices is the main draw at this Chinatown favorite.. The Scene
This Chinese stalwart is known for its extravagant seafood dinners and cheaper-than-average dim sum. Mirrored ceilings, pink tablecloths and white-shirted waiters who anticipate your every whim are half of the charm, getting your fish shown live to you and then eating it perfectly cooked is the other half.

The Food
The seafood at ABC Seafood is truly spectacular. The live geoduck clam, a hefty creature that weighs in at around 2 pounds, is brought live to your table for inspection. Only after your approval, the kitchen transforms the geoduck clam into two delicious dishes: sliced thinly, then sauteed with slivered green onion and sweet ginger; and in hunks, dipped in a salt-and-pepper batter, then deep-fried to airy perfection. To round out the meal, stick to dishes on the chef's special menu, and you can't go wrong. Especially good are the sizzling lamb hot pot and the sublimely ethereal ginseng-chicken soup.

Great Restaurant. This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in L.A. when it comes to quality, price, and taste!! I have eaten in a lot of resaurants all over the LA area and there are only a handful I go back to time and time again. This is undoubtedly in that handful!!

The ABCs of DimSum. Don't let the 'C' health rating, lightly masked by a white curtain, dissuade you from eating at this joint. TThe food was fresh, the place was packed, the service was great, the price was very soft on the wallet. The bottom line: Great Dim Sum! Great Price! You'll Forget That C Rating Even Existed!

ABC Delicious!. Mouthwatering noodle dishes and fluffy fried rice. Don't let the name fool you- there are plenty of vegitarian, meat, and poultry dishes. Right in the heart of Chinatown, cordial service, and very clean too. Try the sauteed string beans, however, I warn you brave soul, they are addicitive.
