Easily one of the top 3 Italian restaurants in the Phx area. Chicken parm was fantastic, so was the cheese ravioli and stuffed eggplant!

This is our favorite restaurant of many years, with a quaintness and coziness that are hard to find on this side of the Atlantic. We eat in the bar, where there's dim lighting and old-fashioned, roomy booths. Strains of Frank Sinatra waft through the room. It's a place to soak up atmosphere and people-watch, as much as anything. Often there are large family groups celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other special occasions, and watching the desserts delivered is especially entertaining. On a quieter evening, just your own conversation becomes more special in this ultra-relaxing setting. Dinner begins with melt-in-your-mouth bread with butter. The basket will be refilled as many times as you like. It's hard to choose from the menu when you know how good everything is, but my favorite is the scampi, while my husband favors the scallops. The seasoning is delicious and unique. We've tried several appetizers, including the caprizzi, zucchini, and shrimp cocktail, and enjoyed them all. Desserts are equally good, and they add new ones here and there. Service is friendly and helpful and you're never rushed as you enjoy the experience and watch the sunset through the big window in the bar. There's also a TV featuring the most timely sports events, for those who are interested. At Christmas, the whole bar area and the adjoining restaurant are lit with colored lights, and in the bar they're reflected off the window to make it even more festive. Our Riazzi's Christmas dinner is an important part of the holidays. This is a family-run restaurant, small and intimate, not a "chic" or "upscale" joint for people seeking to impress or be impressed. It's a Left Bank kind of place, not fancy but full of character and tradition, and if that's what you love best, you'll enjoy Riazzi's.

We decided to visit riazzi's with some friends for the first time. well for the 3 of them. I on the other hand had eaten and enjoyed riazzi's when I was younger. We used to eat at the Van Buren location. my family and I had moved out of state so when I moved back here with my own family and saw it was still in business I knew I had to check it out. the decor is a bit outdated but that doesn't take away from the delicious food that did not disappoint. all four of us were satisfied with our choices. I was happy and relieved that they still deliver wonderful dishes and the staff was great! will be coming back for sure.

The food is out of this world and coming from someone who had an italian restaurant that was 25 years old, that says something. The atmosphere reminded my husband and I of what we would imagine the Sinatra erea would be like. Our hosts gave us a booth in the corner which was very romantic. For appetizers we had the calamari and steamed clams. They were both a meal in themselves and the calamari wasn't the rings you usually get that make you think you are getting alot when in reality your not. They were sliced, breaded and put in a basket. The clams were small and succulent, not the kind you have to keep chewing and then have to spit out because you'll never going to break them down in order to swallow. Dipping the crusty but soft in the center Italian bread it the buttery sauces was yummy. We ordered the Chicken Valastano which was prepared to perfection. The chicken was tender and not dried out. They were stuffed with cheeses that melted in your mouth. The marsala sauce made you want to drink it. My husband order a brandy manhatten up and although he has had very good manhatten's in his life time, his comment was that this was the best he has ever had. If your looking for old world, I suggest this place.

Really authentic Italian cooking with ""Mama"" in the kitchen. Family run, the food is some of the best ""homemade"" Italian food in town. Very reasonable prices and cooking that done by Southern Italy make this a special, yet verycasual place to have a great dinner.

Very nice and reasonably priced Italian restaurant. Fried calamari was delicious - not your typical rings, and offered with 3 sauces to dip - marinara, cocktail and tartar. Choice of soup or salad with dinner - I chose the Minnestrone and it was very very good. The waiter was very nice - did not make us feel rushed. Prices really surprised me at how reasonable they are. Would definitely re-vist.

My grandma liked the eggplant parmisan (a full inch of fried eggplant, the best in the valley for sure. I ate half because she couldn't finish it.)
