Nothing A Good Bar of Soap Wouldn't Cure. When we walked in we were greeted by an unpleasant smell. My dh said it smelled like smoke. All kidding aside, I thought it smelled like a dirty house. Blech. The hostess was very friendly and we were seated right away near the kitchen. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. While we were waiting for our meal to arrive we heard the cook yell, at the top of his lungs, "G**Dam**t, this is such Bul****t!!!" My three year son looked right at me and calmly said, "Bul****t." Then the cooked screamed at one of the waitresses, "Blah, blah, F**k, blah, ****, ****.", etc. I could hear everyone try to calm him down, but he kept on yelling. It appeared he was angry because he couldn't read what one of the waitresses wrote on her order. So now I have my 3 yr. old talking trash and an angry, cussing, crazy person cooking dinner. That just made me feel all cozy and warm inside. We notified our waiter we were leaving. The hostess apologized 10 times and said the cook yells at everyone like that. Village Inn: There's too many other places to bring my 3 yr old for dinner that won't teach him to speak like a thug. Your tempe location needs a bar of soap for the smelly lobby and the cook's potty mouth.
