This restaurant is a local gem for family food. The restaurant was delightfully decorated for Christmas when we visited, and I understand they lavishly decorate for all the major Holidays.
I don't like to give out 5 stars unless a restaurant hits the top on all areas; cleanliness, quality, service, and price. The Arizona Family Restaurant gets top scores by both my girlfriend and I in all areas. We were impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant as soon as we walked in the door. We were immediately greeted and taken to a table. We decided to try the turkey dinners and joked about having thanksgiving in August. Our dinners included dressing, cranberry sauce, and two sides; and warn fresh rolls. From the turkey and gravy to the green beans and mashed potatoes, every part of the meal was excellent. We kept looking at each other and asking "is your food as good as mine"...yeah we talk like that. Our service by our waitress couldn't have been any better before, during and after the meal. There was no room left over for desert. The Sunday "special" price appeared to be about the same as the menu price. For less than $30 (not including tip) we both had very filling "Thanksgiving in August" meals. 100% recommended across all categories!
This old and well known restaurant in Green Valley, Arizona is always consistent and always good. Clean and good service, with a good selection of entries. You cant go wrong here. The bar, known as the "Easy Street Lounge" is a fun place with great bar snacks and good drinks. Try it during Happy Hour for half-price. I eat at this restaurant frequently, and always have a good experience in both the restaurant and the bar.
The Arizona Family Restaurant in Green Valley, AZ is located easily from Interstate 19 at the Esperanza Exit, making it an ideal stop for weary travelors, get togethers, and business lunches.
The restaurant offers a variety of eating areas, particularly the Bar. On Friday and Saturday nights there is usually live music, which promotes a lively atmosphere!
The real "draw" is the Prime Rib Special. Generous and cooked to perfection, it's is a real crowd pleaser.
If it's lunch you're interested in, try the Cobb Salad....and of course, there is "no bad breakfast!"
A gem of an eatery, well worth trying.
We have a group that meets in the bar for happy hour several times per month. Drinks are discounted and selected appetizers are half price. Have got somewhat tired of the same selection so have switched to their dynamite patty melt or their good chicken fried steak. Well worth a visit.
I like this place alot. I always make it a fact when i need to go to GV to go early just so i can get my ARIZONA Family fix. This is a great local company and they are friendly also
first visit was with a jaded eye as the nearby restaurant at the CC was closed. I have to tell you I thought I was in for a generic Denny's. I was WRONG! This place was excellent! The breakfasts were great, the salads huge, Prime Rib the bomb! The wife & I go back often
Little slow, but seeing as how the lunch rush consisted of 98% retires, it was very quiet for how busy they were. Close to Titan Missile Museum.
Food is good, prices fair and selection quite broad. It's not fancy but the service is friendly. I like the back room where it is quieter.
