Buyer BEWARE!!! – Honda should not allow Dobbs to sell their vehicles. They are great vehicles being ruined by both the bully-tactics of the salespeople and the negligence/ineptitude of the service department.
My experience was awful and only continues to get worse as I discover that they failed to appropriately service and check out the "certified" vehicle I purchased.
I love my Honda and my new Honda dealership but I am literally still paying for the problems Dobbs sold me as a result of their sneaky sales tactics and inept service department.
Good car, bad service – I bought my Honda at Dobbs and unfortunately paid for a service agreement. My first visit with the service staff was awful. All the service representatives appeared to be very overwhelmed. I spoke with two of them and they both acted as if they were too busy to be bothered (I had an appointment by the way). The cashier sat at her desk reading a book. The only person to even make eye contact with me was the guy who gave my keys back after the oil change and I imagine that was only because he knew I was leaving. The guys at Jiffy Lube are SO much more professional!
Dobbs Honda horrible customer service – We stopped into Dobbs Honda on Friday to look at the Honda Insight for my wife. There were a couple of sales people standing outside. Once pointed us to an Insight right by the door. He said it's open and walked away.
After looking through the vehicle, we went inside to ask if we could test drive one. Nobody would help us. For about 20 minutes we stood there and waited. Then the salesperson who spoke to us earlier came over. I asked if we could take the car for a drive.
He immediately cut me off and said he was way too busy and so were all the other sales people. When I told him that I would just look at another dealership, he said "that's fine" and we left.
My wife and I will never step foot in that horrible dealership again even if I have to drive to Phoenix to purchase the same car for twice the price.
Dobbs Honda is worst place to buy or service your Honda. – Bought a Dobbs Honda 10 years ago, sales and repairs back then were wonderful; honest, courteous, and lookout for your best interest. That brought us back for repairs and scheduled maintenance. we left AZ for 5 years, and now back. were interested in trading in our old Honda with a brand new one, but the sales person we had was nothing more than that. He went through the motions of showing us the different models we were interested in and telling us all about each. and when it came to talking number he was nothing more than a bully pushing us around and really beating us up so to speak to get the car we liked!
In addition, there was a lot of lying going on, he told us as repeat customers we will get special trade-in price and added discounts since we bought the car from them originally. the quote he gave us and made sound so wonderful was the same as the quote that Car Max gave us for our car. that was very special, so do your homework before you get deceived by those idiots.
on top of that, last time we went in for maintenance, before going to look at cars, their maintenance folks were careless and we had to go back to fix the trouble they caused by their "maintenance". This car dealership used to be a great place to buy and service your Honda long ago, but 2009/2010 experiences we've
had are negative and they lost a repeat customer for life! Their "sales" people know NOTHING about salesmanship and are nothing more than school yard bullies!

Once their service rep. and mechanic lied to me they lost a return customer. You would think a business this large would try to hold onto customers who are trying to be loyal to them. Instead they lie about unneccessary repairs and put the fear in you that if you don't fix it today your car may fall apart as you drive out. Well stand firm loyal customers! Leave and get a second or more oppinion from another Honda mechanic or any another mechanic before you let Dobbs Honda do the work.
It is ashame that customers have to do this. If they would just be honest just think of all the customers they would have. I will not be returning to them.
