Worst service at any restaurant I have ever visited. – We arrived at 9pm and they close at 10. They treated us terribly because we were the last group in there and they wanted us to leave.
Besides that, they charged us $100 more than our bill and when we asked why they did this, they said it was because we shared our unlimited sushi with non-unlimited members which was a lie.
The Korean waitress has the WORST attitude and not only did she cuss at us (in front of the manager, who only agreed with her) but she also told us that she didnt care about our business and never wanted us to come back.
So, we will never go back, and I advise that you do not go close to those people.
SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE!! KOREAN WAITRESS WITH A REAL BAD ATTITUDE. ASKED HER TO CHANGE THE ORDER BEFORE SHE GOT TO THE KITCHEN AND SHE ROLLED HER EYES. SUSHI IS GOOD BUT RECOMMENDED IT FIRST TIME TO TWO OTHER PEOPLE....THEY WILL NOT GO BACK EITHER AFTER WAY THEY WERE TREATED.
GREAT SUSHI – WHAT A TREAT!! FAR SUPERIOUR TO SUSHI GARDEN. THE ALL YOU CAN EAT IS PHENOMENAL. FRESH WATER EEL, YELLOWTAIL, EEL HAND ROOLS AND SOFT SHELL CRAB, SALMON ROE....THE BEST SUSHI IN TUCSON HANDS DOWN.
Downhill since new ownership – Sushi Ten was our favorite sushi until they changed owners and went to the all-you-can-eat menu. Some of our favorite things aren't available on the all-you-can-eat menu, the sushi isn't as good, and it seems like everything has cream cheese in it. The service was never good, but it's managed to get worse. Also, the all-you-can-eat is supposed to include gyoza but they never bring it unless you ask.
We stopped going because the last 3 times just weren't very good.
It's Gone Downhill - Food okay, customer service not – This used to be one of our favorite restaraunts to eat at in Tucson...a great place to get some authentic Japanese food. The owners changed recently, but overall the food stayed fairly consistent. Our most recent experience, however, has convinced us to never return- specifically because of the customer service.
A couple ordered a dish which came out different from what they normally received in the past. They voiced a complaint to the manager (nothing out of hand). I figured the manager would either take the food back and re-cook to their liking or offer another dish. Much to our surprise, the response was: "This is how we make it now, if you don't like it, you can leave." The manager then proceeded to take all their food away and asked them to leave again! Completely uncalled for given the situation. All of us sat there stunned - we couldn't believe the couple was being treated so rudely. Was it really worth it to kick out customers who have been coming to the restaraunt for 15 years (as the couple mentioned as they left the restaraunt)? To me, a good restaraunt is one that thrives on returning customers.
Of course, we know this experience does not occur frequently (hopefully), but knowing that it did- even once - makes it not an enjoyable place to spend our $$. I would still say the food is decent at a good price, but if you are looking for good service and authentic Japanese food, this is not the place.
good food – the food is really good. however the sushi is just so so and the service was even worse. i had a hard time getting service in there, when i did not go with my father (whom is japanese). if i with friends, we were often ignored for great lengths of time. however the noodles and fried rice are the best in the city by far. their bento boxes are really traditional and look great, though i've never tried them.
Great sushi and everything else! – The restaurant is under new management now, and it shows. The food is still great, but the service is FAR better. They have a large menu of Japanese favorites - sushi, ramen, soba, udon, curries, katsu, donburi, yakisoba, tempura - they have it, and it's good. The lunch specials here are FANTASTIC - you get plenty for your dollar. The fish is fresh, the soba is not homemade (I don't expect that in Tucson) but good anyway, the portions are huge for most of their dishes (I always have to take udon and yakisoba home...), and it's CONSISTENTLY wonderful. Don't pass this place up!
good sushi, improved service...(?) – On the road again, and surprised to find good sushi at great prices in the desert. Since the last review, Sushi-ten must have improved their interiors, I found clean, but basic restaurant decor - nothing that adds a special mood. The service was good, but there is a wait for the sushi - so put your order in all at once. The quality of the sushi was great and the portions filling - for sushi, and the wasabi fresh and strong.
Great Food, Awful Service – I was there with 5 other friends. We waited forever to get a seat, and waited forever (about half hour) to finally have someone over to hand us the menu. Not to mention another half hour till someone came and took the order. The sushi/sashime is really great and fresh. But, when we got our bill, 20% of tips was added without even being informed. When ask, they told us, because we had a table for 8(??). Good food, Bad Service.
Good Sushi bad-- everything else – Sushi ten is an ugly resturant. It does however have some great sushi second to only Sushihama and has the best catipillar roll ever. The wait staff are forgetfull slow did not even summit guests of mine's order for over an hour after we sat down to eat, making his two children "starve".
If you are jonezing for sushi make the trip to the westside and go to Sushi hama and avoid this resturant that should be a lot better.
