Food was OK, service BAD! – I called in advance the Restaurant to reserve a table for 4, and to make sure we can have their Duck dish (6 days in advance) they told us that they can put them aside based on our reservation, when we got to the place, they told us they didn't have any left, so we had to eat anything but what we went to the restaurant for...In the process of serving us they changed 3 times our servers, and communication between them wasn't great...We order a botle of wine and when we got our bill the botle was $ 8.00 more expensive than the one we ordered...When i double checked on the botle we had, the wine was also 4 years younger than the one we ordered, so I asked our third server of the night if that was a mistake on their end? He replied by asking us: "Did you drank the wine? Did you enjoyed it? We have more than 20 mistakes in our wine list", and my response to him was "and how is that our fault?", he walked away and brought us the check with no corrections at all, around $ 200.00 per couple, and the bad taste that you have when a restaurant you used to like is no longer that good.
This classic French cuisine takes diners on a culinary journey that their taste buds will never forget.
– The Scene
Tucson's premiere traditional French restaurant is (thankfully) uncontaminated by American nouvelle trends. Crisp white tablecloths cover dark wood tables. Smartly dressed waiters wheel dessert carts around offering an array of sweet ends to a meal that is sure to transport you to the French countryside.
The menu teams outstanding French classics from satiny pat?s and creamy vichyssoise to a finale of flaky pastries. A sweetness dresses tender meats with Calvados brandy and slices of apple in the veal medallion dish. The rack of lamb for two is a generous helping of well roasted, medium-rare meat. The delicate sole meuniere is lightly breaded and perfectly flaky. A lighter spa menu offers a grilled vegetable plate and a simply prepared dish of grilled swordfish. Finish your meal with an airy Grand Marnier souffle.
Terrific – Our favorite place to dine with friends on special occasions or "no special occasion." Always friendly staff, great food and relaxing atmosphere. Great variety of food with something new to try.
Not to be missed.
Pleasant Surprise – After living in Tucson for almost 6 years, I finally made it to Le Rendez-Vous and was pleasantly surprised. The food is top notch and the staff made us feel welcome. The best part was not being rushed and encouraged to stay as long as we like and enjoy the feast. Unlike most French restaurants I've been to, you don't leave Le Rendez-Vous hungry.
exalante – We have been eating here for 10 years. Outstanding, never had a bad meal. Love the Frogs Legs when they can get them.
