I agree with most of you, I would never recomend renting from them again. I lived at 349 east smoot for almost 3 years, they charged me a $250 nonrefundable deposit that was for normal wear and tear on the house. After I vacate the house, they charge me $125 for paint touch ups, when there was hardly any paint inside the house, mostly brick and the outside is all brick but seriously that is normal wear and tear, it looked the same as I moved in. Another charge for landscapping for outside the fence that I have never paid for in over 2 years of living there but all of a sudden I need to pay. Then on top of that $120 landscapping charge I get another for maintenance and thats a $60 charge. This is only a small part of what I dealed with but you get my idea, they will nickel and dime you and there is not much you can do about it, write a letter or call, it will get you no where.
I would like to respond to my recent post and appologize to Prestige on jumping the gun on these issues. I really did not give them a chance to resolve them. After talking with the staff and owner they adjusted my deposit and made everything fair. I know sometimes things can be missed and thats just human error. They have always taken good care of me and I would recommend renting from them and if there is an issue, try to call and get it resolved as soon as you can. They will take care of you and just be patient.
Got my full deposit back, no funny business. These guys fixed every repair I had over the 2 years I've rented from them. Hopefully the new place I'm moving to doesn't screw me over.
All within 2 weeks my fridge and my washing machine have died. Luckily, the staff here were able to fix both of the problems in the same day. What could have been a nightmare, ended up with minimal hassle.
Just finished renting a home with these guys for 2 years. Was dealt with in a professional manner, and got my deposit back. Everything went great. Thanks
I've used these guys to rent my home for me for about 3 years now. I've had about 1 week of vacancy in that time frame(the week I was signing agreements with them!). They have kept all the renters honest, and my property has been kept in great shape. I love not having to worry about whether I will collect rent or not, as it always comes through with them. Thanks Prestige!
I would not tell anybody to rent from, first complaint is that do a walk though every 3 months weather you are home of not. Well we are 54 years old and know how to keep a house clean. I cleaned the house for hours after we moved out, the only thing it needed was the carpet cleaned and we knew that. Well they kept almost all our deposit . $400 for paint, the place didn't need painting and i cleaned the walls. Plus there was paint there. 2nd $190 for blinds that were not broke, come on 2 sets. I wanted the blinds but of course they won't give them to you. My husband raked the back yard and has kept the tree out front cut, and they want $200 to do what we did. Don't rent from this company you will writing this as we are. They are rip offs.
Doesn't even deserve one star! This company is garbage! – Take the advice of the other people online and stay far away from this company. You will never get your deposit back and while you are living in their properties you will be charged for anything they can possibly put on you. They claim they will speak to a manager who you will never get access to or any support from. This company is the lowest of low. Stay far far away from them.
Don't even think about it. – No matter how desperately you may need a property manager, you don't need one bad enough to hire Prestige.
My experiences are similar: unnecessary charges, lack of care for my property, etc, etc. I live out of town and can't check up on the house, but would have gotten rid of them long ago if I'd been able to stop by once in a while. The number of issues they ignored until they because crises is frightful. The tenants were going to move out (great tenants - don't know Prestige managed to get them, especially after 6 months of the house being empty), until I told them I was firing Prestige and will now manage on my own. Now the tenants are happy and so am I. $7000 worth of catch-up repairs that should have been done in the past two years is well worth the price of being free.
****DO NOT USE THEM**** – I agree with all the other reviews, they not only charge fees that they can not prove... they sent landscapers out after you call and tell them not to and the landscapers stayed at my house 30 min but charged for 4 hours of work and gong to the dump yard. False! I spent 3 months gonig back and forth which was a huge waste of time because the property managment company is just as crooked as the landscapers they hired. They also let themselves in without knocking before the scheduled time they are supposed to when dong home inspections, I almost got caught in the shower once.
Huh??? – I have no idea...I don't remember anything about them and have never known them, nor have I conducted business with them... Not sure if someone hacked my account, but I have not had any dealings with this company...To my knowledge they are honorable and as good as any company in town. Apparently someone posted an unflattering comment on here 3 years ago, I don't remember doing so, and if my account was used apologize. Call them and see what they offer!
