Prestige is all about collecting fees from BOTH tenants and landlords. They have no desire to work an honest work week, closed on Fridays and many times unavailable in the afternoons. Call and leave a message and you are likely to never get a return call unless you call them 2-3 more times. If they are that busy they need to hire more help. They should also put their help, including their owners and management, thru a customer service class to teach them what it takes to treat clients with respect and dignity.
If you are a landlord and want to rent a low rent property in a less than desirable part of town - this may be the place to go. However, if you are looking to find good, long-term tenants, in the most expeditious manner possible try other property managers.
Marketing is a JOKE! How about 3 sentences that describes every other property in Tucson and get charged $40 per ad.
As a tenant - fear of calling and getting whacked for every visit. Plus, triple the suggested amount of late fee if you are late one day (no grace).
RUN, RUN, as fast as you can ....it's not the ginger bread man ....
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.... – All I can say about the comment posted below is.....WOMP WOMP WOMP...lol... Could you make it any more obvious that you work for the company. OMG... Your comment is too funny. I am a current resident and we will not be renewing our lease, what so ever, and I made sure to take lots of photos before we moved in, learning from everyone else on this site mistakes... So thank you all for the info...we are prepared.... Again....WOMP WOMP WOMP :-(.
fantastic property managment company – We have been doing business with Prestige for 12 years and find them to be very professional and understanding. What we liked most about this company is that they kept us informed about our property and our tenants. I especially like the fact that they do move- in and move-out inspection, but they also inspect the property every 90 days. WOW, to me this is what set them apart from everyone else.
We are very pleased on how they kept us informed about our house and their bookkeeping system, copies of invoice were provided to us no matter what th cost of the repairs that needed to be done. When we have requested additional estimates for repairs they were willing to do this without any hesitation.
I was very pleased on how they communicated with us regarding bills, tenants, vacancy and maintenance needed to our house, etc. and even though we live miles away form our home w found communication to be very easy by calling them by phone or via email or concerns. Their timely response is very important to us and we give them an "A+.'
I use to work for this company and I have to agree. Worst place hands down.
They charge you for things that they claim to have fixed when the previous tenants lived there but didn't. They perform a move in inspection but charge you for things on the move out inspection that isn't even listed on the move in inspection. It's a huge scam. The owner is very dishonest and will rip the consumer off anyway he can. I can't believe there hasn't been a class action suit against this place yet.
Poorest management company in town! – They had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, they were rude, inconsiderate, and to top it all off everyone told me a different expectations to qualify for a house. The office staff especially Jennifer, seemed to think she was running that place but in actuality she wasn't a hotshot. When she came to comfront us all she did was give us attitude as if we told her to work in a place that invovles customer service. The manager wouldn't show his face and when he did all he wanted to do was get us out of there. He was short with us. When we went back to ask for the corporate number a lady walked in before us and Jennifer stated "omg here they come again" not knowing she was with us. It was the worst experience I have ever had and I would not recommend them to anyone. Everyone tells you different qualifications and different stories, like if leasing with more than one person, then individually each person has to make 3 times the rent...something no one told us. If I were you I wouldn'd think twice about moving in with this company...just run!!
Stay away!! – Stay away is all I can say. They will take every dime they can from you and on top of that have creditors calling harassing for payment. They will even charge you for any notices that they mail to you. It took them 2 yrs. to replace a leaking faucet that was leaking from day 1 that we moved in which I ended shutting down from the main line to avoid any mold build up because they kept giving me the run around. Now they are charging 4 times more the amount of the deposit money. I would never rent from them again and would never recommend them either.
Terrible - AVOID this company if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg in fees – Absolutely awful. Charge all kinds of extra fees that they don't explain and that they seem to make up. Were extremely dishonest up front when telling me what they would charge to rent out my house. It ended up being a lot more than I could have ever anticipated. In addition, it took them months to rent out the house and they charged me a ton of money every month for listing fees. However, when questioned, they only listed on a couple, unknown websites. They did use craigslist, but I could have done that myself. Extremely untrustworthy and they attempt to milk every penny out of you that they can. Avoid these people at all costs.
UNLESS YOUR LOADED STAY AWAY – DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!
If you do, plan on having a lot of extra money on hand. My wife and I rented from them for 18 months. While the rental price was appealing they made up for it with fees left and right. Additionally, After I maintained the property for the entire term of the lease and thuroghly cleaned the property upon leaving I was charged double my security deposit. IN additon to the non refundable "wear and tear" deposit.
Lastly, we later met the previous tenants who were charged for the same "damages" we were. These were not repaired before we moved in and will likely not be taken care of now that we have left. We are currently disputing the alleged damages. IF this is not resolved favorably there will likely be a class action suit.
