If you are on a diet this restaurant is for you!

You will not finish anything on the plate. The Sauce is straight from a can! That is not a joke. How does this place stay in business?

The salad is plain lettuce with some canned dressing and a couple pepperonis on top.

I don't think this places food is worthy of a Wyatts buffet. Please close down soon.

The worst Service and Horrible food. Unbelievable that I have been told this place has good food. It was the worst experience ever! First of Who the heck does not take a credit card? Secondly, since when is drenching italian dressing over wilted lettuce and tossing one dried up pepperoni and a two dis-formed curls of what looks like mozzarella cheese supposed to be a salad! You've got to be kidding me when I then got my calzone and it was raw in the middle. The coffee tastes like it's old and stale and do not get me started on the nasty faced employees. I did not want to eat it. Thought okay just be polite eat the bread I am part of a group I went to the bathroom and quietly mentioned the calzone raw, was told it was cooked all the way thru, embarrassed I suggested this place thought okay just salvage this for the dogs waiting for me at home, they will eat anything. When I mentioned that the calzone was raw dough in the center the waitress said, that is authentic italian. Not in my memory of Italian is this authentic! My sister bit into a bone in her sausage and they brought her a to go container and she ordered a to go coke to take home to her roomate. They stuck the togo coke into a wax covered soup container and poked a hole into the top rather than spring for a standard styro or plastic togo cup We all just laughed! Never go here seriously the worst experience and Warren from 1430 AM the Gourmet Show that I listen to will be hearing an ear full next Friday How dare you say this was a good place how much did they pay you to say that! Warren Miller you should be ashamed of yourself!

Horrible service, food, and atmosphere. Absolutely awful. The waitress was extremely grumpy. I am a vegetarian, and I ordered a salad without pepperoni, got a plate of iceberg lettuce with dressing. When I asked if I could have some more vegetables, she scowled and told me that she would have to charge me another $4 for vegetables on my salad, even though I had requested no meat which is far more expensive than veggies for the restaurant to buy! Our bill (for 2 people) was $50, and all we had were two bowls of spaghetti, two salads, (plus the "extra" charge for my vegetables) and 2 glasses of wine (BAD wine). NOT worth the price. The dinner I had there I would have been ok paying $20 for, but definitely not more. This is one of the worst restaurants I have been to in years. Definitely stay FAR AWAY!

Amici's is good, old-fashioned, restaurant Italian. Amici's is a nice, old-fashioned, "white flour and red sauce", Italian restaurant that really jets customers back to the 70's. This place looks like it was plucked right out of another decade and placed on North Sheridan near 52nd Avenue. The restaurant is very popular, especially with long-time Denver residents who know where it is. Other people might not ever try the restaurant because it is in a very run-down shopping center on its last legs. The restaurant itself is nice enough, and very clean, but suffers from a weak location. The restaurant is scheduled to move to Wadsworth Boulevard in the location of the old Gemini restaurant that is being completely renovated for a January 2009 opening. Rumor is that the move may be delayed until at least March, but I cannot verify.

When we were there, we were pleased with the nice assortment of inexpensive house wines and the overall fair prices. The pizza was good, but not great. It was, however, generously topped with an abundance of ingredients, including fresh mushrooms-not canned. We passed on the other offerings after learning that, even though the pasta sauce they use is vegetarian, they do use it to "warm-up" the meatballs. Vegetarians will want to note this.

Overall, the portions and prices seemed very reasonable and the restaurant was very popular. It was crowded even on a Wednesday evening. They have a loyal following and should do well for years, maybe even better in their new location. This is a family-owned restaurant and a good local value.

Ok Pizza at best - same with service, watch them. Mis-managed employees and OK food? what makes this place great? watch the money pour out from the bar, free drinks on the house boys

Great food and atmosphere. We have been eating at Amici's for years. The food is delicious and the salad dressing is worth a visit in itself. The sauce is not too spicy and the food is always fresh. The pizzas are simply one of the best that Denver has to offer. It is family owned and the ambiance and decor have a family feel to it. It is decorated differently each month with special touches. Due to the family operation, they do close a couple of weeks out of the year for vacations. This is a bummer if you have an Amicis craving during one of those times, as Amici's completely closes down.

A Little Disappointed the Last Few Visits. Have been going to Amici's for the past 20 years, one of my favorite places to frequent, 5 Years ago would have been a Highly Recommend. I crave their salad/house dressing, the Pastas and Sausage are incredible, and the sauce has great flavor/not overly spiced. However, a little disappointed the last few visits 1) Wasn't crowded (it usually is when we go) and it still took us quite a bit for the seater to acknowledge us to sit us 2) There were several large parties, whom couldn't/wouldn't control their children. The whole meal we and other "adult only" parties were treated to screaming and crying. Realize it is a family restaurant, parent's expectations could be set when they enter the restaurant to take their children out if they meltdown. Again, awesome food, but the consistency of screaming kids being there will probably keep us from going back for a while.

Fond Memories. I have been going to Amici's for 17 years and never once had a bad experience. The food and service are wonderful and a place I think everyone should try!
