Zach is a hair GENIUS! – I have never before written a review but felt obligated to defend my stylist against the ridiculous complaints by writer "laylenzo". This is a woman who obviously has a serious problem accepting constructive advise. I personally dont like having unsightly grey hairs sprouting out of a new cut I just paid good money for and I'm sure most spa goers feel the same way!However, even if I did for some reason hold the greying hairs near and dear to my heart, It would in no way be offensive to me for my stylist to suggest some creative ways to cover them up. In fact if I left the salon and got to my car only to discover I had grey hairs coming in, that my stylist didn't even bother to mention, I would feel cheated. This woman clearly has issues and should be on the hunt for a good therapist rather than a good stylist!
Zach has always helped me become the most beautiful me possible...and I not only appreciate his guidance, I love the fact that he takes the time to figure out what style/color/cut works best for my face! He has ALWAYS been a caring,respectful, and knowledgable stylist, who makes me feel like family whenever I'm in his chair. Almost everyone of my girlfriends go to him as well, and are bombarded with compliments on a daily basis about how fabulous their hair looks! We couldn't live without our fantastic hair God Zach!If you are lucky enough to get an appointment with him, you too will be singing his praises!!
Consistently great experience and friendly people – I am a guy who has gone through several hairstylists since moving to Colorado 5 years ago. I like Aveda and their products and am generally pleased with their service salons. I tried TallGrass in Evergreen and liked the service and cut, but not the price; then I did the Aveda Institute in downtown Denver and liked the price (and generally the cut), just not the fact that getting a simple cut by a trainee takes no less than 2 hours.
At Hair Technology I have found both: a great cut and great price. And I have always thought the staff friendly and accommodating. I think the name of the stylist I go to regularly is Laurie and she is the type of person who doesn't have bad days. She is always so friendly and will (miraculously) pick up our conversation where it left off the last time I was there. I think that's impressive. And not only is she friendly but she also concentrates on a good cut and style and will make sure it's what I want before I get up from the chair (I generally go with the "fauxhwak").
I would highly recommend this salon.
Do NOT let Zack cut your hair!! – I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to do so after the TERRIBLE haircut experience I had here last week. I could not get an appt w/ my usual stylist (at a different salon) and I really wanted my haircut before my vacation. So I tried Hair Technology b/c I get facials there regularly which are fantastic! Here is what happened: I sat in the chair and told Zack that I just wanted a trim and to keep my long layers. Shorter layers look terrible on me b/c I have long curly hair and it makes me look like I have an afro. I also have to be able to pull my hair back when I work out. Anyway, he seemed to understand what I said until he started cutting. I told him at least 3 times that I wear my hair curly 99% of the time b/c I work out every morning and don't have time to dry it before work. He suggested I do long bangs and I asked if that would look good on curly hair. "Oh yes, it will" - then 5 minutes later, "oh well if you wear your hair curly most of the time, maybe I shouldn't do that." Then he proceeded to tell me that parting my hair in the middle was "uninteresting" even though I told him that I have tried it on the side and it doesn't look as good. Do I not know my own hair?? Meanwhile, he has cut way too much of my hair by now. Finally, while drying my hair, he says "You don't have a lot of gray hair, but the ones you do have really stick out against your dark hair." I thought that was really rude and no way to talk to a client. He could have suggested a highlight in a much different manner. To top it off, I paid more for this haircut than I usually do and I absolutely hate it. When look in the mirror, I cringe and I can't wait until it grows out again. Most importantly, I can't put it back w/out the short front layers falling in my face. It's one thing to get a bad haircut but to also be treated unprofessionally is totally unacceptable. On a lighter note, I would recommend this place for facials ONLY!!!!
DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON! – I was recently in this salon and was not only given poor customer service, I was treated very badly by the "manager." I visited this salon once before and found my experience to be satisfactory. I did like my hair, but the atmosphere was a little cold. This time I was shocked and appalled by the people who work there. I cannot express the extent to which the manager was rude, unprofessional, insulting, lying and completely delerious. She did nothing to make my experience a good one. The stylist did not listen to anything I said and I left the salon exactly the same as I went in. The color was the exact same as it was before I went in when I had asked for a drastic difference and the cut was a trim when I asked for a shorter bob which would have taken off about 4 more inches of hair. I was extremely rushed and told that if I didn't know what I wanted that I should come back. The manager was not helpful, as she was the one rushing me out of there. She was very short and did not care in the least bit how my experience was. When I came back in to tell her I was concerned because I didn't receive what I paid (a LOT) for, she basically called me rude and yelled at me. Long story- short, I have contacted some authorities for help and the Aveda Headquarters in regards to this matter. The manager responded with an all out, bold faced lie about the situation and this just shows what kind of character she has. I complained not just about my hair, but the fact that there is absolutely NO customer service in this salon. They do not care about the clients, just about their money. I am shocked that the customer service isn't there, but more about the fact that the person responsible for the customer service isn't even a decent human being. I repeat DO NOT GO TO HAIR TECHNOLOGY FOR ANY "SERVICES" all you will get is grief.
I was recently recommended to a stylist named Penny by my girlfriend since I had a BAD expierenceat my last salon. First let me say what a beautiful place , second the little gal at the front desk, what a doll Very sweet ( found out she is Pennys daughter) and third Penny what an AMAZING stylist. So so friendly and extremely talented she listened to what I was asking for and gave me exactly that , my color was so Awesome I have people stop me and ask to take a picture to show their stylist. she also gave me the best Aline bob haircut!!!!! and to top it off she was the nicest person ever! Im so glad I found Hair Technology AND Penny.
Awesome hair salon – This is the first time that I am utilizing this review board, but felt compelled to write as I have been having my hair cut at this location for the past year, and can't say enough good things about the great service and positive attitude of its employees and management staff. Upon arrival I am always warmly greeted; offered a cup of coffee or a bottle of water; and waited on in short order. One of their best "sales" techniques is the reminder phone call a few days before the appointment - probably like you, details and appointments made several weeks in advance can occasionally fall through the cracks - this reminder is always appreciated.
If you are seeking a salon to pamper you and remember your name, give them a call.
Ps. They do a great job on my hair too - I always leave not looking like a just had my hair cut!

A great experience everytime!!!! – I've been going to this salon for years and highly recommend it!!! Very helpful staff eager to help. The spa services are a great gift for my wife. Her favorite is the Half Day of Beauty which is very reasonably priced. The new location is beautiful!!!

Hair Technology is the best Salon in Colorado – I have been to so many salons? looking for someone who really knows how to do Hair. Every stylist claims to know how to do hair but do they really? Well the girls at Hair Technology are wonderful. I have been going to Talia for the last year and a half and am so pleased with her that I want you all to know. I don?t usually write reviews but when you find someone good you want everyone to know that it is possible to find a good stylist that truly cares. They also have a wonderful spa! I would diffidently recommend Laurel one of the massage therapists, and Elmarie for skin care needs. Not to mention they carry the best products around AVEDA, in case you didn?t know not all salon?s can carry it Aveda is very selective.
