Reviews for American Furniture Warehouse

I like how the only one allowed to make posts under Customer Testimonials on their website is American Furniture Warehouse. Maybe it's because they actually have horrible customer service! We purchased a table from AFW and scheduled a pick up two days later. When we picked up the table it was in a box and appeared to be in good condition. When we opened to box however, the entire corner was smashed in. We called the store and they told us we would have to bring back the damaged table and pick up a new one 4 days later "anytime after 10." When we returned the damaged table, our new one was not at the store and an order hadn't even been placed. After driving back and forth twice they offered us delivery which would take an additional 5 days. I called their customer service line to see if there was any way we could speed it up in order to make up for their mistakes and was offered an apology and a "we don't do that." I will NEVER buy anything from American Furniture Warehouse again, and will advise everyone I know to avoid their store at all costs.

Perfect in almost every way – Walking through the store, and finding things can be a daunting task. There's TONS of stuff, and the store just seems to go on forever, LOL

I was getting just a little discouraged because I couldn't find any of the things I'd already researched online (chair, loveseat and queen sleigh bed)...then I meet TJ, my sales rep. Told him what I was looking for, and he took me right to them.

Turns out the sofa and loveseat weren't so hot, in person. Quality was there, and the color was the same, but I wanted furniture with a smaller profile and these (Riviera in Blue) were the overstuffed kind. Anyway, my son actually found what I ended up purchasing (kinda girly, LOL) which was the Bella chair and loveseat in Chocolate and Spa Blue, with a "rose" pattern on the chair and pillow upholstery.

Back to TJ...he found "my" bed (Vintana queen sleigh bed) then asked if I needed a mattress set (yes I did) and spent a great deal of time asking what I preferred (soft/firm), what I wanted (traditional/pillow top/memory) and had me test several out. I chose a VERY nice pillow top set that TOTALLY rocks...I sleep like a baby.

Then I asked him about tables for my living room and a pillow for the chair and he busted his butt finding everything I needed.

He was absolutely awesome, delivery charges were extremely reasonable and all my furniture was delivered exactly on time by 2 of the nicest, most professional guys I've met in awhile. The quality of the furniture is outstanding and was priced very reasonably.

I wish I wouldn't have had to spend so much time on my own trying to navigate the store, but it's a pretty minor thing and isn't really a negative.

So, the next time you're in the market for furniture, go immediately to the front desk (Centennial store), ask them to get TJ for you (if he's busy with another customer, wait for him) and your experience will be as great as mine was.

Pros: great prices, good quality furniture, reasonable and on time delivery, awesome sales rep, professional delivery personnel

Cons: size of the store can be daunting

Attitude Central – Interestingly enough, I've talked to at least 3 other people who have had very similar negative experiences JUST LOOKING in this store. The sales people here act like they have some sort of elitist complex, unless of course you are buying loads of their overpriced furniture, consequentially lining their pockets. I talked to an ex-sales person from this store and he told me their sales force is told to walk EVERY customer through the whole store... now, I can't speak for everybody, but sometimes I just wanna be allowed to walk freely through a store from time to time without a shadow following me every step of the way...
