From pecan waffles to legendary hash browns, breakfast fare rules at this homey 24-hour chain restaurant--but don't miss the chili. – In Short
Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.

The best pecan waffles I have ever had, get there early on the weekends, great customer service. – Although, it might seem embarrassing to dine at the Waffle House, the staff is super friendly. They all shout "good morning or hello" to you when you walk in. The service is promt and tasty. I love the pecan waffles! They also have sugar-free maple syrup (made with Splenda). The steak (w/ steak and eggs), and cofee, not so good, but everything else was yummy.

Need to get a Credit Card Machine – Went to Waffle House after a recommendation from the brother who swore by the place during his basic training days. It was a typical greasy spoon, however they need to give larger portions of hashbrowns. All they serve is hashbrowns, so if you need a french fry go somewhere else. This place only takes cash or check, which can be inconvenient. Our waitress was missing a few teeth, but she was friendly and nice.
