Beware, it's overrrated. – A 9.4 are you kidding? This pie is truly overrated. I have tried the food at their numerous locations. It?s all the same. The service is to the point of being disrespectful and I will never return. Why does the Denver area love this FRANCHISE?

Only one word to be said "Franchise" – That is it!!! Anthony's will never be the same. When a plumber forks out 200K to open a store? Still better the the other big chains but not the best pizza in town.

NY pizza? I think not. – This pizza is highly overrated. The downtown location is OK, but still sub-par. The pizza over-greasy and the quality of the cheese was poor. I then gave them another chance.

One day I tried the franchise on South Federal Boulevard. The food was horrible, the service was to the point of disrespectful and the store was dirty. I believe Denver residences need to reevaluate there choice for the best pizza in their town.

Good NY-style pizza... – A New Yorker could come to Denver, make pizza using the exact same ingredients and the exact same methods, and you'd still have snobs complaining it "just ain't da same." Well, I'm not from New York, but have been there before and tried their pizza, at a spot recommended by a New Yorker, born and bred. The difference between Anthony's and that place? Not much. They both offered NY pizza, which means an unimaginative pie consisting of some cheese and too-sweet sauce spread over a glorified tortilla of a crust, so thin that you have to eat it like a paper airplane. If you want good NY-style pizza that any honest person would say tastes like the "real" thing, Anthony's is the way to go, but if you want good pizza in general, find a Chicago-style pie.

good cheap pizza! – wow the pizza was HUGE and the cheese was cheesey!!!! i live in texas and there are a lot of "wannabe" pizza spots, but nothing like this! the service was fast and straight forward but the food makes up for the lack of super kindness and amount of sitting space. i highly recomend this joint for anyone in the neighborhood looking for a good slice with the feel of the bronx, NY. Oh! and they make the pizza right infront of you! good small show! hope i was some help!!!!

OK – I've had Anthony's pizza before and it is good but I went to NY for the first time last April (2005) and had real NY pizza for the first time. I must say it's nothing like (and better than) any pizza I've tried in Denver but Anthony's is the closest for CO.

nypizzaman – While visiting from NY, I tried Anthon's due to its high rating. It was all wrong. This pizza my taste like NY pizza, but not good NY pizza. This is not at all a representation of real NY pizza. Anyone that rates this high has never had NY pizza or has been away so long that they forgot what good NY pizza really is. The sicilian was premade from a factory, not the way it is truly made and the sauce taste like pasta sauce, not pizza sauce. Pizza sauce is sweet not filled with spices to the point of covering up the tomato flavor. Not highly approving of this pizza.

I am from Chicago and have eaten ny style pizza several times in nyc, thin ny style pizza sucks,as is evidence in the new yorkers highly recomending these pies. If you want to raise your cohlesterol level and gain weight try this , otherwise this is just nasty pizza! It makes me want to eat tofu?

Franchises are hurting the quality – Greed has set in. The quality control at the Franchsies has dropped. Hey Anthony's have you tasted some of your other stores? Or are you just counting your money. Downtown in good, besides that it is hit or miss.

To many franchises. – I went to 2 Anthony franchises. The quality is not there. The pizza I had was not even close the standard of Anthony's. Soon this will just another chain.
