Best Irish Pub in Town - BEST GUINESS!!!!!! I am Irish so that is saying something – I am not sure where the other reviewers were but I think this is the best Irish pub in town. Being an Irish American it feels like a piece of Ireland. The Corn Beef Boxty was fantastic. The Black and Tans were the best I have had probably because the owner, a native of Ireland, demands it to be served the right way. The service was excellent even though it was the Santa Pub Crawl with 30 or so partying Santas and Elves. Mike and Brian are the best. I highly recommend going but only if you are looking to have some fun like an Irishman. Slainte!

Bad Food, Bad Service – The service was awful and the food was worse. This is a poor excuse for an Irish Pub; I will NEVER go back.

Horrible Customer Service – I went to Fado last weekend with some friends, expecting a fun night out. Unfortunately, once we entered the bar, our night took a turn for the worse. We sat at a table near the fire place and waited 20 minutes before anyone even came over to greet us. Once we actually had a server, she treated us as if we were more of an irritaion than the paying customers we really were. After placing a drink order, we could see our drinks ready in the service well, but our server disappeared for over 10 minutes so we just waited... and waited. She forgot to put in our appetizer order so we waited even longer for that, and then once it did come, we didn't even have silverware! We had to go to the bar to ask for napkins and silverware since our waitress had again "disappeared." We could see her on the other side of the bar chatting away with her fellow useless servers, completely ingnoring us. We couldn't believe how rude she was! We decided NOT to do dinner there as planned and promptly asked for the bill. Of course, she had screwed that up too and had double charged us for our drinks. We had to wait for another 15 minutes while she got a manager to take the drinks off. I will never go back to this poor excuse for a bar.

Maybe Fado management should the hire a new service staff with true customer service experience.

Fun Place – Very nice place to hang out after work or on the weekend. The place gets a good crowd. The patio is always fun if it is not too cold outside. They have the best 80?s band I have ever seen play frequently on the weekends. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Seems to have gone downhill... – I hope that this is an isolated incident. We visit Fado's late summer 2006. We had been there several years before and all was fine. However, this time was a real let down. We took friends from out of town - there were five of us all-together. The place was under construction, which they couldn't really help, but they seated us right next to it! We asked to move to the patio and the sat us right next to the outside construction. Everyone wanted fish and chips, but we were informed that they were all out of fish and chips! At an irish pub?? Then she came back and said they weren't out, but that the fish and chips were too frozen. She came back a third time and said they could do two orders of fish and chips. So I ended up ordering a chicken wrap. When the food came out the fish and chips were good, but the smallest portions I have ever seen! The "small" portion is one piece of fish! And not a large piece. My wrap was a shrimp wrap, which I pointed out to the waitress who by this time seemed not to like our table at all (I Hate shrimp, otherwise I would have just eaten the darn thing). So she takes mine back and I finally get my chicken wrap at the end of the meal. Everyone else was done. We did point this out and after some debating with her we did manage not to have to pay for the chicken wrap, because it was apparent that my entire table was finished eating when I finally got my food. However, she never apologized for anything. We were very disappointed and I doubt we'll go back again for anything other than a beer. The prices are okay, but for the portion sizes on the fish and chips, the prices are outrages. I think this place is very cool and I am glad to have a pub in downtown - so I truly hope this was an isolated incident and the restaurant was just having a bad day.

Just like Ireland – Fado was a great combination of old meets new now that they have completed their remodel.

The traditional side reminded me of what I thought an Irish pub should be and the NEW side represented what is going on Ireland today! I loved getting my beer in a specialty glass and the new small plates menu was perfect for hanging out with a few friends.

Pub Quiz last Thursday was a blast with LUKE!!!!

The BEST PUB I have ever been to!!! – We go to Fado every weekend to grab dinner and then hang out for the live music. The staff is great, the pub is beautiful and after the REMODEL we can't wait to see what they come up with!!

I came down for the World Cup as well and had a blast!

A popular local pub that offers alcohol-fueled fellowship and ample Irish culture. – In Short
This bar combines surreal Tolkienesque elements with typical Irish bar design elements. Lunch and dinner hours are aimed at eaters, while evenings are geared toward Guinness guzzling and boisterous conversation. The staff and clientele include Irish immigrants--not surprisingly, Fado is home to several local Irish social groups. The kitchen serves sandwiches, shepherd's pie, fish-and-chips and more. And of course, there are well-maintained kegs of Guinness, Irish whisky and single-malt scotches.
