Excellent job! – Ireland's Finest transformed the house we purchased from an outdated, neglected house to a warm, elegent home. We needed them to do high quality work quickly, because we were waiting for them to finish before we could move in. They painted the interior of our house from top to bottom and brought in multiple crews to get the job done fast. This job needed extensive prep work and lots of attention to detail. Ireland's Finest painters worked long hours with sustained attention and did a beautiful job. We couldn't be happier!
'tis but a thing of sheer beauty it is!! – It is very rare that you will get a chance to deal with a company that is this honest, competent , talented, and i might add artistic in its endeavors. Search no more for Ireland's finest is all of that and more. Their attention to detail, willingness to make excellent suggestions and their treatment of the customer as someone very special was especially aprreciated. The workmanship is something special and their obvious pride in their work is leterally visible. After my experience with this company on the outside of my house the inside of my house will soon be carrying the Irelands Finest label as well. May your path be strewn with beautiful colors and my Ireland's Finest be the ones to apply them.
Very well done and appreciated – I have a friend who is a professional painter. He was set to paint my house 7 years ago but injured himself and couldn't make it. He referred me to Ireland's Finest. Because they came highly recommended by a good friend in the painting business, had a fair market price and they were obviously professionals, I went with them. 2 years ago I had window work done on my house which involved the trim for the some of the windows being painted (by a window installer btw) 2 years later all the windows that were not worked on by the window installer and painted by Ireland's Finest were still standing tall (from being painted 7 years ago). The trim for the windows painted by a window installer was peeling. I just hired Ireland's Finest to correct the bad paint job from the window installer. Funny thing I've rarely gotten 7 years on my trim painting. However, the paint they put up 7 years ago and the newly painted trim makes my house almost glow. I also appreciated their integrity. I asked them if I needed to paint my entire house. They advised just the trim would suffice for now. If I wanted to save a few bucks, they said do the whole house later. That's rare and appreciated! As a repeat customer, I'm very happy to recommend Ireland's Finest and give them a resounding 5 star rating for excellent quality work.
Diappointing End Result – I took the day off from work for the painter to show up and when he didn't I called and the office staff said there was a mix up in the schedule and the painter was sent to another job and no one could come over that day. I would have to reschedule. I had to take another day off the next week, (the owner suggested I leave a key for whomever to get in the house when I wasn't home, but understandably I declined, never having done business with this company before). Then the owner came out to give a quote on the job, since the guy who originally bid the job no longer worked for the company and the owner couldn't find his bid. We agreed on a fixed price or time and materials, whichever would come in lower. However, when I got the invoice, it was a third higher than originally quoted. When I brought this to the owner's attention, he didn't remember anything about our original conversation or price and got very argumentative. I definitely won't be using them again.
Trusted Craftsmen? I beg to differ. – While getting quotes to have our house painted, Ireland's Finest was very professional. The price was higher than others but their reviews were good, so we decided to spend the extra money to have it done right.
After the first day, the quote "Quality Work by Trusted Craftsmen" seemed apparently to be a false claim. There were grinder marks left on our wood shutters and gables. Four of our windows were painted shut. They left paint cans outside overnight in freezing temps, didn't use drop cloths regularly and didn't allow enough drying time between coats. The initial paint was the wrong color - a crew member told me that the "paint store made a mistake". And after the color was resolved, we noticed that the paint finish was a semi-gloss. This was not requested or even pre-discussed with Andrew. We wanted a flat finish.
The crew seemed to be lacking supervision and training. We had a new bead board ceiling on our porch that had never been painted. The paint was applied so thickly that it bubbled in the cracks. They suggested that they could fill in the cracks in the bead board with Bondo. It was obvious that they were just grasping at solutions.
To Andrew's credit, once he saw the house, he agreed to re-do the necessary work at no cost. It would have been better for everyone if he had supervised all along, or had a higher level foreman or quality control system in place.
It seems that Andrew took a gamble on accepting our contract. Our intent with hiring Ireland's Finest was to have the peace of mind that we were getting high quality service, without having to personally supervise the crew. Andrew gambled if the painters would do a "good enough" job. He gambled whether we would complain, notice and/or just accept less than quality workmanship. He blamed it partially on the painters being tired at the end of a long season. Next time, I will use one of the more inexpensive bids. Surely, it wouldn't be any more stress than we had by using Ireland's Finest.
I should have used them first. – I can't believe how fast, professional, and easy it was having them paint my homes. I have 2 rental homes, and my own home that were painted by a company that completely screwed up. I was refered to Keith and Andrew of Ireland's Finest, and they were able to fit me into their busy schedule, and have a clean and professional crew come fix the other company's mistakes. I should have used them from the start, and will from now on. I highly recommend them to any one, especially if you want the job done fast and done right the first time!
