Some of the best burritos, About the worst attitude – I use to work nearby about 2 years ago continued to go until about three months ago. It's still on my way to work but I since decided to boycott them.
Terrific breakfast burritos at a fair price. They were cooked perfectly! The portion was generous, and the service usually pretty fast.
Where things fell short for me is the counter girl's attitude. She appeaed like she'd rather be somewhere else but never left. Why is she there? She's very nice to a few customers but intentionally unfriendly and cold to many others in an uncomfortable way This included me. I have no idea why she's like that. I, like others I saw there, was just a middle aged working class regular and a good tipper.
The next thing that doesn't sit right is the fact that they can't even put it in a bag with a napkin like every other takeout I've ever been too. Why???
I have since given my regular breakfast burrito business to Santiagos. Who also makes terrific breakfast burritos and makes ALL their customers feel welcome.
I hope the owners read this because I'm certain that I'm not the only one that consistently experienced this over time.
Nice change of pace for the handheld burrito – I call it the sloppy burrito.. It has good flavor and a "911 calling" extra hot chile. many options to your burritos. Make um your way. Great flavor explosion for under $2.50. Every ingredient tastes great and fresh. Stop by and leave as they have no where to eat and even tell you to, eat on the run, so not to use up their limited parking area.
This to-go burrito outlet serves flavorful wraps and green chili from a bare-bones setting.
– The Scene
Step up to the counter, place an order, then grab it and hit the highway--that's the MO at this Santa Fe Drive quick stop. Commuters flock in early for breakfast burritos, local 9-to-5ers come in for lunch and to pick up take-home orders for dinner. With nary a chair in the place, sit-down dining is out.
Smallish, $2 burritos come stuffed with beans, beef or savory chunks of chicken or pork, smothered or "handheld" for eating on the fly. They're basic but tasty, and worth the price. Green chili is good and sprinkled with chunks of white-meat pork; the hot version packs an ample but not overwhelming dose of fire.
The best burrito – You better grab a few napkins with this burrito because its not dry. This is also the best burrito you'll find anywhere for the cost.
