The Food Guy catered my daughter's wedding in February. They were awesome!! They were asked to fix an unusual dinner and they did an amazing job. They were friendly and organized and helpful. They drove all the way to Silverthorne, were on time and decorated the main dining area early. I was very impressed and I thought their pricing was very good. I would definitely recommend them!
HORRIBLE Experience. We hired The Food Guy for our wedding Vail. We worked with them for 1 year and we were assured every time that our Food Guy contact would be at our wedding to make sure everything went as planned. She decided the day of our wedding to stay at another event and sent a different employee, who we had never met. They arrived 40 minutes late, delaying our reception. Luckily we have the best family and friends ever ~ of which 50 of them helped set up tables, chairs, chair covers, centerpieces, etc. The is what we paid The Food Guy to do. We had pre-ceremony cocktails planned, and that NEVER happened. Guests were told we did not have champagne, and we did. They served a completely different salad than we signed up for. I could go on and on. We met with Tom, the owner, after our wedding, and he was HORRIBLE to deal with. To plan our wedding down to the very last detail and have The Food Guy completely mess it up is why I am writing this post. I have NEVER written a negative review about anyone. I pray this doesn't happen to any one else.
Bad customer service – I was appalled at the lack of customer service and the incredibly high quote we were given.
My mom and I were planning my stepdad's 50th birthday for 50 to 60 people. They quoted us $5,700. That's over a hundred dollars per person! That's more money than my sister spent at her wedding!! She suggested we use 7 servers for 50 people! Really? That's insane. She was milking us to the bone. You can't do that in this economy or you'll lose business. When I questioned her on the high number of servers she said, "You want your guests to be well taken care of, right?" Well yeah, but really, seven servers?? We ended up going with another caterer that had two servers and the party was flawless.
The lady who helped us kept us waiting 30 minutes for the quote while she was on the phone with her family (we could hear every word through the walls). What really sucks about the waiting is that my mom told her that my grandfather was in the hospital that day having a pacemaker installed and that we needed to hurry to go see him.
They gave us god awful food to try. The salad had no dressing, the steak was burned on the outside and rare on the inside, and not once did they ask us how we liked the food.
Do not book this caterer.
Best Catering Company in Denver – We have used The Food Guy for our last two work parties and they both have been successful thanks to The Food Guy! It is the little things that make them such a great company. If you're looking for a catering company to relieve some stress and deliver excellent food, I would recommend The Food Guy Catering.
amazing food! – I had hired The Food Guy for my sons senior party and they helped plan the whole thing. The food they made was amazing and they brought all the plates, cups, forks, etc. I was very pleased with The Food Guy catering. I found them and their menu at their website
Great FOOD – I used The Food Guy to cater a lunch for my staff in Aurora, the food was fantastic. The food guy is a little above average when it comes to price but it is definitely worth the extra penneys!
