Impressive results – After researching and meeting with several local trainers, I recently entered my 5 month old German Shorthaired Pointer in American Dog School's 4 week board & train program.

I was given realistic expectations from the beginning. I was very happy with the care of the dogs and cleanliness of their place as I toured the facility. The customer service was definitely above average, as an employee called us once a week to update us on the training progress after we entered our pup in the program. The staff seemed very professional with us and really cared about our pup.

After the training, we picked up our dog and saw an incredible improvement in both behaviors and responsiveness to us. He clearly understood his commands and had bonded with his trainers. We have done a couple of follow up classes (that were included), which I found absolutely necessary. We look forward to attending group classes in the near future as well.

Since then, we've used American Dog School for boarding multiple times (as we've had some unexpected trips come up) and again have been impressed with everything they've done for us.

We're very happy with the recommendation someone at the dog park had given us of American Dog School. They have earned a customer for life.

worst customer care ever and puppy training – Unable to have Sean Miller contact me after stating to train the dog. It's been the worst experience ever as a dog owner or a buisness decision. Can't even say what training the dog actual ever recieved Sean was too busy to call and ask how things are and why the expereince was so bad. No concern for any feed back.

Worst expereince.

I wouldn't bring my dog anywhere else – I'm not sure what the unimpressed reviewers below are talking about. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere BUT American Dog School. Watching Sean work with my dog is amazing; she seems to know inherently that Sean is kind but also in charge. She seems to actually enjoy her time at the kennel! The facility is clean and animal-friendly, the staff are kind and always willing to answer questions, and, much like a great babysitter, Sean or the staffer who is present always take the time to chat for a few minutes about how my dog did while I was gone. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

What was going on there? – I went to the American Dog School to speak with a trainer and purchase a gift certificate for my boyfriend to have one on one dog training. When I pulled up and got out of the car, I could hear a dog barking in the back. Someone starting screaming at the dog to stop. It was impatient, high pitched, mean screaming. Is that how they train their dogs? I immediately got back in my car and left. I would never pay someone to scream at my dog!

The best in the business – I have been a client of American Dog School for several years now and have referred them to everyone I can. The training and knowledge that I've experienced there is second to none. Literally! I have also been a loyal boarding customer to American Dog School as well and I would absolutely not trust my dog and family member to anyone else. They have integrity, honesty and passion for what they do. I trust them implicitly!

Best dog trainer, period! – I have worked with many different trainers and finally found someone who knows what he?s talking about. Sean not only understands dogs, but knows how to work with them and the owner. I have a very difficult dog and was beyond frustrated. Sean listened to my concerns and worked with my dog to overcome her problems. He also taught me how to handle my dog, which was a huge help. I?m not sure what the previous reviewer is talking about because Sean?s facility is clean and the staff clearly love what they do. I definitely think that people should do their homework before taking their dog to a trainer and if you do you?ll find that Sean, nor any of his staff, have any animal cruelty charges, nor anything of the sort, on their records. If you?re looking for a trainer that loves what he does, genuinely cares about dogs, and can handle any breed, temperament and behavioral problem, then you should contact Sean at American Dog School.

I wouldn't take my dog there. – I know of three different people who took their dog there and the dogs got sick. I also noticed the owner had been charged with animal cruelity. Do your homework before taking it to this place. Angel

Big behavior improvement! – Our family's experience with American Dog School has been exceptional. We have a high-energy, strong dog who is sometimes aggressive towards other dogs. We are committed to keeping her as part of our family for her lifetime, so we decided to improve her behavior. We tried several trainers with no success. We found the perfect fit at American Dog School. Our dog did the training-and-boarding program, lasting several weeks. What a great change. Her listening skills have improved and we can now control her; she even obeys our 7 year old son. Our dog has learned basic commands and pays much more attention to our directives. We are continuing her training by taking her to group classes. Sean takes the time to address our questions and concerns and doesnt hesitate to immediately help out during class if he sees an owner struggling. We recommend Amercian Dog School!

Getting a handle – Although my dog has been through training since he was 4 months old (he is 4 now) he has always been the type to test the waters and see just what he can get away with. The trainers at American Dog school helped me get a handle on my little moster and showed me how my every day interactions with him were sending him mixed signals on what was ok and what was not. Thanks guys! He may not ever be perfect, this we know but he is my little king and now everyone in the household can live with him and love him not just his mom ;).
