Very cool little spot – If you like places that aren't that crowded and have great drinks then you will love this place. They have a great beer selection and I always find myself trying something new every time I come in.

Good Bar Food – I used to live down the road from Bull & Bush, so I have had varying experiences here, but in general, it's a great bar with good bar food and a cozy atmosphere.

The burgers and beers are the thing to taste here. They have a few specialty burgers that are really good or you can make your own. I usually get a bacon blue cheese burger or a mushroom and swiss. Fries come with the burgers and they are the really thin shoestring kind and are REALLY good. Plus, they have their own homemade ranch dressing to dip! Beers are really good, if you like micros.

I have also had the fish and chips, which is mediocre and some of the appetizers. The BBQ Chicken Quesadilla is pretty good too.

Service can be hit or miss, depending on your server, but overall, I enjoy coming to the B & B!

I don't know what people are complaining about... – I honestly cannot for the life of me figure out why there are so many people on here saying that everything about this place is horrible. I'd suspect that either they're not very familiar with brew pubs and breweries, or their standards are set way too high and they're closed off to trying anything new. As for people complaining about service, I'm willing to bet they were either there during a busy time of day or were expecting way too much out of their servers. My husband and I recently went to Bull & Bush with a friend, our first time there, to try their brews and have some lunch. While I can't say that any of us are beer experts, and we don't brew ourselves, my husband and I are beer nerds, as we call ourselves. We love beer. Good beer. We've been to a ton of local breweries and brew pubs here in Colorado, and are wanting to eventually visit them all. We've had some really bad beer and some really good beer, and Bull & Bush's brews rank towards the top of the list of good beer. Some of their beers are a little different; they had a Yule Fuel Lambic that was very unique, and while I wasn't keen on it my husband loved it. We all loved their Dunkelweiss, which is very tasty, and my husband loved their Man Beer. We both felt their beer was well-brewed, anyone saying otherwise might have gotten a bad batch, or perhaps doesn't know as much about beer as they think. Who knows.

As for their food, it's a little different as well. Yes, their burgers are served on rolls, not buns. I don't see why anyone would complain about something so petty. While my burger was slightly overcooked, I'm used to this as I like my burgers to be very pink in the middle. Not many places are able to do that, and some places flat out won't. But if it's a good burger, it doesn't matter if it's slightly overcooked. This was a good burger. None of us had any complaints about the food. My husband had their "Bullrito", which he said was excellent, and our friend got their Quesadilla, which is enormous, and he seemed to enjoy as well since he finished the whole thing.

I'd also have to say that the service was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She was always stopping by to check on us as she'd be heading back and forth from the bar to her other tables, asking if the food was all right or if we needed more beer. And while it did sometimes take a while for her to get our drinks, every time she came out with drinks she was carrying pints for more than one table. Anyone who would complain about waiting on drinks when a server is getting drinks for multiple tables is just a jerk.

Overall Bull & Bush was a great brew pub in my opinion, and I really feel that anyone else who enjoys going to brew pubs and breweries would enjoy it as well.

Good beer, VERY inconsistent service – I really like these guys' beer. I think most all the choices are good, sometimes great.

That being said, their food is all-around decent. Nothing great. The menu is aiight. It is limited and most of the choices are sub-par. The fish&chips are fine, the burgers are great....and that's all I got. The rest is too inconsistent to comment further upon.

I've been to this place about 10 times and I would say that I've had great service one time, acceptable service 2 times, and UNACCEPTABLY HORRIBLE service the other 7 times. I wish I were exaggerating, but I'm not. The service here is very inconsistent, usually horrible. It's been so bad that I would suggest you visit it once so you can taste the beer. You'll find that you won't want to return to these people.

TIP TO THE OWNERS: Fire/rehire your wait staff and figure out the inconsistent kitchen as well. . . carry on with your beer.

Lousy waitress/service/food – We have gone there as a group every Sunday night for dinner and jazz music. The last time, we got horribly burned quesadillas, burned to charcoal. when we told the waitress, she very snottily said "that is the way they're supposed to be" and walked away. We know what burned is; we have ordered those dozens of times. I'm not sure we'll go back, and if we do, it won't be for food.

Bad Service – My family has been visiting this restaurant since it opened. My Dad went on his first date with my mother here. We visit on a weekly basis and I often bring friends in for Happy Hour and to introduce them to the neighboorhood pub.

Lately the service has not been great and in today's world, customer service is important. Tonight we went to celebrate my brother's graduation from High School. Unfortunately, we had poor service from start to finish. Our server started off by telling us that the drinks we ordered had to made a certain way. We stated, "the bartender is used to our drink order and does a great job at making them." She then told us that she is usually the bartender and tonight she was serving 'unfortunately because someone couldn't find a babysitter.' We knew right off the bat she was having a bad night.

After our food came out, we noticed we were out of ketchup. We asked if we could get some more and were told "no problem." Several minutes passed with no server in sight. My Dad decided to ask the next table to borrow ketchup before the burgers were cold. The server scolded him for asking saying "sir, your ketchup is coming your server is really busy." Yikes!

To finish it out, our bill was incorrect and our server proceeded to argue with us over it.

I hope that the service will improve here or that 'management' will find a better team of servers!

Poor quality brews and horrible service... – First, let me explain that I brew beer and consider myself relatively knowledgeable on the subject. I'm not a professional brewmaster, however. With that in mind, I think the beer they serve at this place is just plain bad. I ordered their ESB and it had so much diacetyl contamination that it tasted like I was eating a rotted stick of butter. Their pale ale suffered from the same problems, but to a lesser extent. Diacetly is common in ales, but the levels in these beers were WAY over those I would consider acceptable. If I had brewed this beer, it would have gone stright down the drain. This type of defect can be caused by bacterial/fungal contamination in the fermenters or high fermentation temps and no 'rest' period to allow the yeast to consume the diacetyl (i.e.: rushing the beer to the glass before its time).

The service here was also terrible. We met some friends here on a Friday afternoon and our waitress was slow, inattentive and rude. She actually had the nerve to bring us the check and, before anyone asked, she stated in a very condescending tone that she wouldn't split the bill because everyone was 'swapping' beers all night. In reality, none of us swapped beers, so I can only assume she was upset that some of us had multiple different varieties. Her general lack of customer service was frightening. I'm typically a heavy tipper at 20%+, but this girl was lucky if she got 5% from the table because others were so offended.

I ate the fish & chips, which was OK, but tasted like it had come from the freezer section at Walmart. The taste was comparable to Mrs. Paul's fish sticks. Certainly not 'the best fish and chips in Denver', as they advertise. More like TV dinner-quality.

Overall I was disappointed and will not return to this joint. Bad beer, poor customer service and mediocre food sums up my experience. I hope this review saves someone out there from the disappointment we experienced.

Worst Dining Experience in Denver – In 10 years of dining out in Denver, I experience the worst dinner ever. There are three meals that no one should be able to screw up: potato skins, mac and cheese and quesadillas. Last night, I had potato skins that were old, cold and inexplicably burned on the bottom. My husband ordered a steak that was dry as beef jerky and yet still cooking when it arrived. My chicken sandwich was charred and tiny, taking up only half of the bun.

Not to be outdone by the horrible food, the service was terrible and we had to actually grab our waiter's leg to get his attention to order a beer. The ambiance wasn't - it is a pub trying to be a sports bar or a sports bar trying to be a pub, but it can't be both. The clientelle seemed suburban with a lot of kids, which was surprising given the over-priced fare. The worst part of the meal was not the restuarant's fault - the foursome next to us was so drunk they were screaming and annoying the entire dining room. Even the crying children were drowned out by the harping voice at the table next to us. We left $50 poorer without eating the charcoal served to us and went to another bar for an amazing, juicy and still pink $3.50 burger.

All talk, no substance. – They do a good job of dressing the place up like a "British Pub". The food and ale however, leave much to be desired.
