Tasty and Reliable! – I am currently a student at the nearby George Washington High School and because of NY pizzeria's reliable student meals and delicious food i'm actually not being forced to starve myself. I live off of NY pizzeria and they've gone from good to great in my book.
I also love the variety of toppings they offer as well as the delicious ice cream they offer!! =]
good pizza and good price! – Consistently good pizza and service at a very reasonable price! The pizza has tasty crust and sauce. They're not overly generous on toppings, but its overall a good pizza for the price.
Great food; excellent for kids and families – We discovered this little gem about six months ago and have loved going there since. Their dough is fantastic - as pizza crust or for a sandwich or as garlic bread. The slices are huge. Watching them make the pizza and toss the dough is worth the trip alone. You can get all the trendy toppings for your pizza or stay with the tried and true. Unlike other pizza joints, they make a rocking pesto pizza, which is a unique taste in an of itself. Their salads are huge and filling. The dining room is large and decorated with posters of New York and street signs that direct your (LaGuardia for the front door; Flushing for the restrooms). This is a family-friendly place with televisions tuned to sports and a large train table for the little kids to play at.
Used to be good... – but the pizza was going down hill even before they moved to the new location. The last time we got it there it was just plain....bad.
Sad when you get to witness a once great retaurant turn bad.
Not New York at all – This has to be the worst pizza I've ever tasted. Having grown up in NY, being Italian and eating at pizzerias for most of my childhood, I was excited to read the reviews about this pizzeria. I ordered a large pizza with mushrooms and meatballs. The toppings were so tiny that you can hardly taste them. The crust was like cardboard and too chewy. The sauce was WAY too sweet. It was so overpowering that you couldnt taste anything else but this sugary sauce. Perhaps they need to call this place "Cheap Knock off of Papa Johns Pizzeria". Absolutely terrible!
BEST PIZZA IN DENVER!!!!!! – OK, Im originally from Chicago, but, I have to say, This is definitely the best Pizza in Denver!!! Hands Down!! The best crust, sauce, and toppings!! Authentic New York Style Pizza!!! Great Prices!! HUGE slices!! The PERFECT Crust/Sauce/Cheese ratio !! Truely Incredible!! Quick and Cheap slices for lunch, You cant go wrong here!!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!! I PROMISE!!!
And they deliver!!! – I saw this place on a top 10 list on time and thought I'd try it. It's good!!! The prices are really resonable. I always get the super hugh pizza so I have leftovers for lunch the next few days. It reheats well and tastes good cold. It makes from 4 - 6 meals for me which really brings the cost per meal down. Cheaper than McDonald's but McDonald's doesn't deliver.
New York Food, Strip Mall Ambience – This little gem sits in strip mall near Glendale on Leetsdale, but the pizza, calzones, and salads are pure New York. Thin crust pizzas with huge toppings, reasonable prices, and calzones that will feed a small army are the draw. There are a lot of the trendy toppings (sun dried tomatoes, artichokes) as well as things you can't find elsewhere (eggplant!). The place is small, but it's great for take out and they offer limited delivery as well. Service is prompt and friendly (maybe that's the un-New York part)
