Love the Market, Don't like the Treatment – When I first got here to Boulder I Started spending money in this market called Lolitas. I spend money in there and buy items from there. Then I put in an application while I am in there. The Lady who manages the place or owns it or whatever, well her name is Leslie. Well when i was putting in my application leslie was very rude. Not a problem. Then i go into Lolitas 10/30/2011, put my bags down outside and then i get a cup of hot tea. I decided to stand outside and finish my cup of hot tea, because i couldn't drink my hot tea and carry my bags. leslie saw my items and told me I have 5 minutes to leave. I said thank you. She didn't like the fact that I said thank you and got lippy with me. She said, I am telling you you have 5 minutes to leave here. I said thank you again, she said no, its not a thank you this is a warning. She directed that at me and my things. Then she said you know what, actually I am going to call the police She did this in a humiliating sense in front of several other individuals...then she told some other employees what was going on.. She was going to call the police on me because I was standing outside of a market drinking my hot tea where I spend money. Hmmm thats real polite. Glad I got to see your true colors

Friendly neighborhood mom and pop type store. – As a former member of the team under Marge's command, thanks for the music review. She was an awesome person to work for. After six years as her right hand man, she hooked me up with a gig in San Francisco in the Natural Foods biz. Been here since. Lo's was an experience not to be repeated. The friends I made and the characters I met there will be with me for life. Wish I could reach out and hug all of them. From what I hear it is destined for historical status. Great news. Hope it's there forever.

Lolita's in the 90's was a place not only to conveniently buy groceries, but also to hear great music as you shop. The staff was always friendly, helpful and prompt. The then store manager Marge Damon was a great mentor and manager to her staff. She kept morale high among her staff, which in turn, made for a cool place to shop. The best part about the experience @ Lo's (which locals affectionately call the store) was the staff always had killer music playing. From The Dead to The Stones, you could always jam to good music. This was the 90's...I hope it's still the same!!!!!!!

Cool Place – Well, I'm and expert on breakfast sandwiches and blunt wraps. Lolita's has both at a very economical and delicious price. Thanks Lolitas!
