Brazilian No No – Normally for waxing, I would go to Wax in the City (since it is their forte), but since they were booked, i decided to give Essentials a try. Ended up being not the smartest move. The wax technician, Nikki, came to get me, and I told her I was looking to get a Brazilian waxing and she made it seem like it was fairly routine. Come to find out it really wasn't. During the procedure, the wax hardened too much a few times and yet she still attempted to snag it off. I was sure that I had no female distinction left after it was over. And instead of offerrng me a cold compress, she merely said "Oh Sorry." And aside from the pain, the cleanup was awful, i ended up sneaking some wax remover out of the salon to take care of the job when i got home.
All-in-all, it was pretty disasterous. If you want a good waxing, Wax In the City is worth the wait for the appointment.
This spa experience takes you straight to France. – In Short
The experience here transports customers to the veranda of a European villa. One side of the spa is dedicated to manicures and pedicures; the other side is all about hanging out on the porch in a comfy robe. Essentiels was the first spa in the country to import French thalatherm beds (a cross between a tanning bed, steam room and shower). The facility is set up to do Vichy treatments and has a hydro tub.
A wonderful place!!! – I first tested out Essentiels for my Wedding Make-up last spring, upon the recommendation of a co-worker. Since then I have had my eyebrows done there regularly and sent my mom for several manicures and a facial. Every time I have ever called or been there in person the staff have treated me with the utmost courtesy and friendliness. The young lady who does my eyebrows remembers what we talked about last time and the place has a very relaxing and warm atmosphere. Some of the check-in staff even remember my name, and I don't go there more than once a month! Highly recommended!!!
Wonderful! – After going to the top rated spa in the Denver area and being disappointed, I wasn't expecting to be impressed with Essentiels Spa. But, I was wrong! The staff were wonderful from the receptionists all the way through all of the staff members performing treatments. We enjoyed the pre-steam before our day began and loved the strawberry water provided. Although not in an especially scenic location, the inside of the spa was warm, inviting, and comfortable. This is the spa I recommend to friends!
Luxury! – Worth every dollar! I love the relaxing atmosphere and the fully stocked ladies' room. Indulge yourself here. Facial is to-die-for. Even the waxing was relatively painless.
A little over rated – This little place is a little over rated. I bought my wife a day at the spa and she had a ok day. Nothing to write home about. I had been told that this was the #1 rated place in town, not!
rating: – I have used this spa, as well as a few others, since 1995, when it was at another location. It is by far my favorite, and the only one I have actually returned to. I go as often as I can afford : ) There is no horrible smell from fake fingernail glue and the people are always very friendly. Very clean and quiet--sounds are very soothing. The only con is trying to get through on the phone to make an appointment. I have occasionally had to leave messages and don't get called back until the next day, at which point several more appointments have been filled and it gets tough with having to find an available babysitter (no children allowed).
Amazing facial.... – A friend recommended I go in and ask for Dana. After some doing, I finally scheduled a date and went in. I received the most heavenly facial from Dana and the wait was well worth it! Dana is just heavenly. She was not mechanical like most others, made me feel very comfortable and knew when to talk and, mist importantly, when not to. She made me feel like a million bucks. My friend told me that if I didn't like it, she would pick up the tab and that if I did, I'd have to treat her.... Darn!
Essentials is essential – Highly recommend Queen for a Day, that is if you can get an appointment.
Relaxation Relaxation – From the second I walk into this place I became instantly relaxed. The Atomosphere is incredible and the people are great! It is a little pricey, but when your that relaxed, it's the last thing your thinking about.
