No Problems whatsoever! Great experience! – Ok, so whatever issues were going on in the prior reviews has surely brought forth positive changes!!
Went in to drop off my fav, fav, favorite 15 yr old birkenstocks to get new soles put on earlier this week. I was treated respectfully and kind, given a ticket for my pick up and handed over my shoes after repairs without any issues.
With each repair my birks are like brand new - except I don't have to break them in like I would if I bought a new pair!! Very pleased!!
Lost my shoes---Terrible business--is this legal? – They lost one of my shoes and would not give me my money for my shoes. Went back 3 times (no shoe!)...contacted Better Business Bureau, on last return...somehow my other shoe "miraculously appeared"! Seems like a non-ethical business run by non-ethical owner...DO NOT USE THEM, go elsewhere in Boulder!!! I would rate it as a negative star if I could, but the program will not let me!!!
Lost (stole) my husband's $200 shoes – Dropped off my husband's $200 Ecco loafers 20 days ago, and called back several times, they were still not done, so I went there personally after a few more days. They couldn't find them. "Somebody must have picked them up". (Yeah! YOU picked the up for your husband who needed a pair. ) I don't fall for it. They don't even have ticket numbers on the shoes so anybody can show a $5 ticket and pick up a $200 pair..."yep, those are mine, right thar."
"Whimsical" business was a polite term from "dfotino" below, I call them crooked.
Horrible service reliability – I brought my luggage in to be repaired, said I needed it by Saturday since I was leaving Sunday and today, Saturday, it is closed (I have been calling repeatedly throughout the day, and the store is closed, with no notification). Furthermore, they asked for payment ahead of time. This is irresponsible to customers and unreliable. If one says something will be done, especially when travel deadlines are involved, it should be done. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this whimsical business.
TERRIBLE SHOE SHOP – I have been to Supreme Shoe repair 3-4 times, and every time I go I say I'll never be back! I keep going because it's convenient. They NEVER have the shoes repaired when they say they will, their workmanship is shoddy, the woman at the counter is rude & combative-I have personally seen her arguing with unhappy customers on several occasions. My last experience was to repair some boots. When I went into the shop a week after they were supposed to be done, they had never even been fixed. I took my boots with me and will be looking for a new shop to take my business. It's not worth the frustration of trying to work with these people. I WILL NOT BE BACK!
No Way! – I have no idea how this place stays in business! I have gone back three times from Arvada to pick up my shoes and when I do, they either can't find them or they weren't fixed. Three other customers said they had the same problem and wouldn't ever be using them again, and this was just the people I spoke to while waiting. And they charged me $50 to fix these shoes on top of it! DON'T use them!
Worst customer service imaginable – After they had my shoe for nearly two weeks (for a really small repair) I called to learn if it was ready. The guy said he was too busy to even look, and refused to call me back before he left for the day--said he was too busy. Next day, I called and a different guy said he was really busy and would I please call back. Eventually he looked, and told me my shoe was ready. Next day, I go to pick it up and the front door is locked at 2 in the afternoon on a weekday--no note, no indication of when they might unlock the door. I could see someone in the back, but he pretended not to notice me knocking at the locked door. A few minutes later an employee comes through the locked front door. He couldn't find my shoe and told me to go look on his shelf until I found it. Everyone I dealt with had hostile, sarcastic attitudes. These folks are clearly overwhelmed and they don't need your business or mine.
They ruined my shoes – I took my favorite pair of shoes to be resoled, and when I picked them up, they had been butchered. My moccasins had previously had soft, flexible rubber soles, with a layer of padding between the sole itself and the leather, and when I picked them up, they had heeled men's soles on them! I asked for a refund, and was told I'd have to talk to the manager, but that they couldn't give me his contact information, so I should leave a note. I did so, and received no response for four days, at which time I went back in and was informed that I would never get a refund. So I asked them to at least take the bad soles off so that I could take them elsewhere, and they sliced up the leather doing so right in front of me. I'm reporting them to the bb bureau, and forcing a refund through my bank. Go to Perry's on Walnut--much, much, much better service for the same prices.
Horrible-Lost my shoes and won't pay to replace! – would not give it a star if I could. They lost one shoe, couldn't find the other. Never even fixed the shoe after I left them there a week, just lost the other shoe. Gave them another day to look, they didn't find. Refuses to give replacement cost. Tried speaking to owner on phone and at store, supposedly "wasn't there". I plan on taking them to small claims court if this isn't resolved. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!
Not "JUST" a shoe repair store! Luggage, leather jackets, purses, wallets, car seats, furniture....... – I brought my boots in because the heel was broken. While ringing me up, the owner Dan Lawshe, noticed my old leather purse was worn to the point of no return. So I thought! He actually ended up doing a dye job and a little sewing on the inside, and it looked like new! I was planning on parting with it because it was on its last days. Oh, and the heel on the boot; perfect, like new.
I should also mention, all of their work is guaranteed. Another plus!
I live in Denver, and tried a couple places when it came to fixing up my favorite purse over the last year. Both places looked at me like I was crazy and told me their was nothing they could do.
I will drive to Boulder from now on whenever I need professional, quality work done.
