Nice change of pace – Ras Kassa's is a nice change of pace. Very good food that is unique and seems very healthy. Friendly service. Nice ambiance. I must admit that the indoor dining is a bit uncomfortable for me with the stools arranged around trays. But the patio is wonderful. Treat yourself to a nice, unique experience here.

One of the best kept secrets in Boulder. – Located off the beaten path, the food and atmosphere are authentic. The service is great and I love the honey wine. It is a unique experience and one of our favorite places to go.

Great food – My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has great options for vegetarians and meat lovers.

The waitress was very nice and attentive. If you don't mind eating with your hands, this restaurant is definitely worth a try. We plan to dine there again.

AMAZING HONEY WINE. – i was very excited to try this place. walking in there you're like 'oooooo this is exotic' and yes, it is.

its really fun because you eat with your hands, and the food is not heavy or overdone its very simple and very good. go here if you're into trying new things and being in an ambiance that makes you feel like you're no longer in boulder.

Unique resturant – I'm not sure if it's authentic or not, but I can tell you that the food was excellent. The place was unique and enjoyable. The finger eatting didn't bother me at all; it , in fact enhanced the atmosphere. I've gone there in groups and used it for a quiet romantic dinner, in both instances the place didn't didn't disappoint.

This food is good? Wouldn't know...never got any... – Well, I must say, this is the worst place ever. Why? Because all I got was a glass of water. 45 minutes after ordering my drink, appetizer, and food, NOTHING. My husband and I just decided to get up and leave, and as we were leaving our WAITRESS was standing at the bar with another waitress and was saying, "Have a nice night!" as we walked out the door

Yea, you too.

The authentic Ethopian food at this Boulder eatery is well worth the wait and crowds. – In Short
Always crowded on weekend evenings and often during the week, this is a small unassuming space comprised of two small rooms. Walls are decorated with African tapestries and pictures of Ethiopia. Backless stools surround masabs, small basket tables. Complex flavors are drawn from simple foods like red lentils and butternut squash. Food is served family style and everyone eats with their hands, dipping injera (spongey, crepe-like, Ethopian sourdough bread) into the various entrees.

Doesn't taste authentic – Hello everyone. I'm really sorry to dissent with most of the reviews and what practically everyone I know thinks about this place, but I don't think it's good Ethiopian. The spicy vegetables and the kik alicha (I think they call it yellow split peas, or yellow split pea soup) are good, and the kik alicha tastes reasonably authentic. Otherwise, I wasn't crazy over the food, and it definitely didn't taste like Ethiopian. Granted, Ethiopian is my very favorite food, and I have eaten it in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, San Francisco...even Phoenix, which shockingly has great Ethiopian, so I'm admittedly jaded and snotty. This is the worst I've ever had, which is still not bad since Ethiopian is the best! If anyone knows of good Ethiopian in the Denver/Boulder area, I would love to know about it.

my favorite restaurant in boulder – the service is friendly, the food is unique, and its just a great evening out whenever. it does tend to be quite filling and on the exensive side, so i reccomend ordering one entree less then the number of people eating, and then getting an appetizer. if that happens, it get to the right price and everyone is full. that is, of course, if you are willing to share, which really is a good part of the fun.

authentic service – The food was wonderful and different

but I really have to praise the wonderful service provided.

This is where I really felt that a tip was deserved.

The people are extremely personal and friendly, it is NOT the usual rehearsed:

" hi my name is ..., and I'm your waitor for tonight"
