Great nieghborhood place! – The Spanish food, especially the Paella and the specials are better than anywhere else in town, honestly. It's pretty affordable considering the quality too. Music at Dagabi is quiet enough to actually have a conversation without yelling, which is nice. The people are friendly and the inside is cool. Really great place! Locally owned too! This is the kind of place we need to keep alive!
Perfect – Outstanding service, atmosphere, and food...there is nothing I would change about my experience at Dagabi whatsoever, highly recommended!
Surprisingly disappointing – My cream of portabello soup starter was ok, but mostly forgettable; by-the-numbers cream soup, not distinctive or interesting. The bread that was brought at the beginning was rather spongy and quite bland; lacks the crusty exterior and tangy chewy interior of a good artisanal Italian loaf. Even Whole Foods' breads are superior, as are my own. But the worst part was to come; my Penne al Pollo was drowned in an unsettling artificial-neon-orange tomato-cream sauce that at first made me forget what I ordered. This dish was advertised as having spinach and sundried tomatoes. I am not exaggerating when I say that there were three slivers of sundried tomato and approximately half a dozen spinach leaves. Horribly bland out-of-a-can flavor. My companion's Bolognese was similarly characterless and bland. Extremely disappointing food. Nice atmosphere and staff, but with food this poor, what's the point?
A Hidden Gem – The food was well prepared, and absolutely delicious. We were promptly seated, and the service was fantastic. Old-country atmosphere in of all places, a strip mall. Dagabi truly is a hidden gem!
Great food, horrible service – The food was delicious. The service was horrific. Everything was messed up from the drink order to the dessert. If you want good food and a comical evening, definitely go. It's unfortunate because the food is VERY good.
