Best Preschool in Boulder – I have been a teacher at Harmony Preschool for two years and I can honestly say it is the BEST place for a beginning teacher to start a career. I have always felt supported and appreciated by the director, fellow staff, and families we serve. I have learned so much about early childhood education, child centered learning, and the Love and Logic approach from the director and some the best teachers I have ever encountered. Harmony feels much more like a family and a home than a place to work and I couldn
Our Family Loves This School! – Darling, warm, neighboorhood school. Jennae the owner and director is so knowledgable and very child centered. She hand picks her teachers and they are GREAT! This school is warm, nurturing to both children and parents. The teachers also make learning fun. They know how to engage and challange my child. They use the LOVE LOGIC principals to redirect and guide children. I've taken the course Jennae teaches twice and LOVE it. The consistancy of using the same behavior principles at home and ar school is huge! I can't imagine going anywhere else! We concider the teachers of Harmony family.
One of Boulder's Best! – Harmony Preschool is a great program! Over the years I have been impressed with the teachers professionalism, dedication to the children and families, their knowledge of early childhood education . Each day my child has new experiances to share. I especially appreciate how they model and teach the children conflict resolution/cooperation skills. I can’t think of a more nurturing, safe place for my children to learn and grow. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
Harmony Preschool – Harmony is not a school I would send my child to. The amount of money it costs to send your child there is not reflected within the environment. I personally have contacted the school multiple times through phone and e-mail and have never received responses back until I finally went to the school in person. They pride themselves on being organized; however their performance with contacting parents and perspective families states otherwise.
Highly recommend Harmony Preschool – Harmony Preschool is not only a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for our two children. It also has helped us be better parents. For the last 5 years, we have had children in the school, and been a part of the Harmony community. The teachers, and families that are a part of Harmony have been a blessing that we continue to recognize, even as the kids are growing beyond their preschool years. The student/teacher ratio attracted us at first, and in time, we recognized that it was not simply the number of staff, but their quality that has made the school such a positive experience. They are truely caring people with the children always in the center of their thoughts. We have taken advantage of the director's "Love and Logic" classes, and she and the teachers are always available for well needed insight and guidence, well above and beyond anything we expected and have experienced from other schools.
Great preschool – I have been a Harmony parent for 6 yrs. I have always felt that my children were very safe, nutured, loved and taught the value of working with others and working things out together. Now that I'm in the public school system, I see that Harmony has taught my children some very valuable lessons in both socialization and education. Their Love and Logic philosophy contributes to children becoming self- confident and self-controlled. While no school is perfect 100% of the time, the teachers and director at Harmony, have always been focused on the children and making their experience that best that it could possibly be. I would strongly recommend Harmony.
Avoid Harmony Preschool - very disorganized – Our 2 1/2 year old daughter was expelled from Harmony PS today! A heartbreak for pop and daughter. Harmony stated it had an immunization policy that our daughter didn't live up to. Pursuant to doctor's orders our daughter's vaccination schedule was delayed a few months - brother has autism - we didn't want to take a chance. AND pursuant to Colorado Law Harmony had to let our daughter in anyway. Once they found out they were in violation of law they back peddelled. Daughter wasn't potty trained enough - we never got your check, you didn't sign the vaccination waiver fast enough, blah, blah. Bottom line, little girl had to leave her friends and new teachers behind. There's a special place in hell for those that expell 2 year olds.
Very disorganized, had they reviewed our applications and records in time a lot of heartbreak could have been avoided.
User review by karenm2 – We are very happy with Harmony. Two of our children have attended. We really like their low student to teacher ratio (1/7). I have found the mixed age group to be very beneficial for both my children. On several occasions the director has been extremely helpful with parenting issues. The teachers are professional, warm and nurturing. Harmony does an outstanding job. We were on their wait list for about a year and finally got in. We couldnt be more pleased and are very happy with the school!
User review by sthomas2 – the director charges way too much and you do not see the tuition reflected in the school - materials, staff compensation, maintence etc... High turnover for teachers, unavailable director, lack of consistency, hard to get a return phone call, I felt like it was all for show, not genuine...
