Ruined evening – Awful evening thanks to one Rasta Pasta staff member. He never told us his name but he was about six foot, cherry tomato faced, out of shape, about 40 years old, tattooed up (large cross on his forearm) and dressed like a slacker. We (group of 4 - 2 of us are doctors and the other two have college degrees and both couples have children) left him an $18 dollar tip on an $85 dollar bill. But he can't do simple math so he thought we tipped less and screamed and yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant on a busy Saturday night as we were exiting with our wives. Very outrageous behavior and a poor example of a human being who managed to ruin our evening.
Island pasta? Absolutely wacky and great tasting too. – In Short
A wall mural of reggae legend Bob Marley adorns one wall and a beach-scene graces the other. Large wooden parrots keep watch and everything is done in the yellow-green-red color scheme of Rastafarianism, including the lights. These are not your average pasta dishes--the Tortellini Jamaica 'Mon has pineapples and bananas and is unique and catchy. All portions are generous.
just pasta – The place is filled with Jamaican music. Decorations quite simple, in bright "exotic" colors. Service quick and friendly. Portions huge. However, menu is quite monotone, with standard cafeteria taste and not much originality or finesse. This is a place for younger nondiscriminating crowd.
