The service here is horrendous...Avoid at all costs. I was there for 35 minutes before I received my food and the server didn't stop by once in that time. There were only 7 other tables in the ENTIRE restaurant and another server...so at worst she had four tables. Once she did bring my food out I had to eat as fast as possible to get back to work on time (this was over a lunch break) and then I sat there with my debit card out for 6 minutes while she stood at the table next to me chatting. Even after that, she grabbed my plates, while I had my credit card out, took the dishes back, came back out after another 5 minutes and didn't even bring my check with her. I finally had to get a little stern with her to even get her to realize i was still there waiting for my check. Then she comes back by and goes "you all ready to go?" Like she has been waiting for me. I ALWAYS tip at least 20% when i go to a restaurant...not here. This girl had definitely risen above her level of competence. At this place in town Olive Garden, Pho Viet (a wonderful little pho place just off Galley), and First Wok (great little chinese place at academy and san miguel) are all MUCH better options.

Like the Crab, Don't like the Atmosphere – I understand that they are trying to do a fun kid's/college drinking vibe, but it'skind of obnoxious and we try to avoid going at night when it's the worst.

We do eat here from time to time, because I like the way they cook their seafood.

If they could take the music down a little and stop with the dancing and weird "Chotchkie's Flair" it would be a bonus. I don't think it's ever going to be a college hotspot, so why don't they give it up and cater more to the families that eat there?

A colorful seafood restaurant for kids of all ages--especially the younger ones. – In Short
Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.

Take it or Leave It – I'm not really sure why people like this place so much. I guess it would be fun for kids, but the food is mediocre at best. Not that seafood can really be that fresh when we live on a landlocked state, but I've never been impressed with the food quality. The servers are silly and high school at the least. I wouldn't say that the service is bad, its just average. I haven't seen any singing there for years and the papertowels in the tin bucket as napkins is less than appetizing. I wouldn't go back unless I had a good coupon.
