MISLEADING CUSTOMER SERVICE – I TRADED MY DIAMONDS OUT OF MY RING, TO SELECT DIFFERENT DIAMONDS FOR MY RING, AT FIRST I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED. AFTER HAVING THE DIAMONDS PUT IN MY RING, OUR FINANCIAL SITUATION CHANGED, I CALLED JARED'S TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE DIAMONDS I HAD PURCHASED. FIRST I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD 60 DAYS TO RETURN ANY PURCHASE THAT I MADE, AND IT WOULD JUST BE TAKEN OFF OF MY BILL. THEN WHEN I CALLED JARED'S ON WOODMEN, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS ONLY 30 DAYS TO RETURN ANY PURCHASE'S, AFTER THAT, IT WAS CONSIDERED A SURRENDER OF MY DIAMONDS. I WAS TOLD BY JARED'S CUSTOMER SERVICE, THAT WHEN I RETURNED THE DIAMOND'S, AND SURRENDERED THEM, THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO PICK OUT A DIFFERENT RING TO PUT MY ORIGINAL YELLOW DIAMOND IN, THAT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TWO DIAMONDS I HAD PURCHASED. WHEN I WENT TO THE STORE TO SURRENDER THE DIAMONDS, AND PICK OUT A SINGLE RING, AS I WAS TOLD I COULD DO, I CALLED JARED'S CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TALKED TO A SUPERVISOR THAT TOLD ME, I WAS GIVEN THE WRONG INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, AND THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS LOCKED FROM ANY PURCHASES, BECAUSE OF THE SURRENDER OF MY DIAMONDS. SO, IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BE HONEST ABOUT RETURNING SOMETHING THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD, YOU NEED TO KNOW NOT TO BELIEVE, ANYTHING YOU ARE TOLD BY JARED'S CUSTOMER SERVICE, OR JARED'S STORE. ALSO MY DIAMONDS THAT I TRADED IN WERE VALUED AT 2,700.00 DOLLARS, JARED'S KEPT THOSE ALSO. SO NOW I HAVE A RING WITH A YELLOW DIAMOND IN THE MIDDLE, AND TWO EMPTY PRONG SETTINGS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE RING, THAT IS TOTALLY UNWEARABLE. WHEN I ASKED TO TAKE THE TWO SIDE EMPTY PRONGS OFF MY RING, SO THAT I COULD WEAR IT. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD LEAVE A BIG CREVICE, ON EITHER SIDE OF MY RING. NOW MY RING IS SITTING IN A DRAWER, UNWEARABLE. THE MIDDLE YELLOW DIAMOND WAS A GIFT FROM MY HUSBAND FOR OUR 30TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TWO YEARS AGO. WHEN I WAS PURCHASING THE DIAMONDS FOR MY RING, I WAS TOLD ABOUT THIS SPECIAL EVENT THAT JARED'S WAS GOING TO HAVE FEATURING ALL LEVIAN JEWELRY. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO THIS EVENT. I DID NOT RECEIVE AN INVITATION, SO I CALLED THE JARED'S STORE. I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS NOT TO RECEIVE AN INVITATION IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STORE. I LEFT TWO MESSAGE'S FOR THE MANAGER KEVEN HUBBLE TO CALL ME, AS I WANTED TO TALK TO HIM ABOUT WHAT WAS SAID ABOUT MY ATTENDANCE AT THEIR LEVIAN AFFAIR. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I HAVE PURCHASED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON PANDORA BEADS AND BRACELETS, AND ALSO I PURCHASED A PLATINUM DIAMOND RING, I HAVE GIVEN JARED'S ALLOT OF BUSINESS OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS, BUT I CANNOT BELIEVE THE RUDE TREATMENT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED, SINCE SURRENDERING THE DIAMONDS THAT I HAD PURCHASED. I WAS TRYING TO BE HONEST TO RETURN SOMETHING THAT I CONSIDERED NO LONGER MINE. SO, INSTEAD OF THANKING ME FOR RETURNING THESE DIAMONDS, AND TRYING TO DO THE HONEST THING. JARED'S IS NOT OUT ANYTHING, AND I'AM OUT MY DIAMONDS THAT I TRADED IN WORTH 2,700.00 DOLLAR'S. WHEN I RETURNED THEIR DIAMONDS. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPENSATED BACK FOR MY DIAMONDS. INSTEAD I WAS TOLD I JUST LOOSE MY DIAMONDS. SO BASICALLY, JARED'S PROFITED ON THIS TRANSACTION, KEEPING MY ORIGINAL DIAMONDS. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, DEALING WITH THE SURRENDERING OF THE DIAMONDS, HAS BEEN SHARED WITH OTHER EMPLOYEE'S IN THE JARED'S STORE. THIS IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, AND VIOLATES THE CONFIDENTIALLY OF ANY PURCHASES OR TRANSACTIONS AT THIS JARED'S STORE. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR DIAMOND TRADE IN OFFERS. IF FOR ANY REASON YOU HAVE TO BRING SOMETHING BACK YOU ALSO FORFEIT THE DIAMONDS YOU TRADED IN, NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN, NOR ANY COMPENSATION FOR THEM. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU RECEIVE WHEN YOU ARE PURCHASING MERCHANDISE CAN BE A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE, BUT YOUR EXPERIENCE CAN TURN INTO A NIGHTMARE IF YOU ARE HONEST ENOUGH TO RETURN JARED'S MERCHANDISE. MY ADVICE, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE FAKE AND FALSE ACTING PEOPLE, AND MOST OF ALL DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORD.
Jewelry experience – I am sorry for the bad experiences that other customers have had with Jareds. My fiance and I went in and picked out our wedding sets. The service was so prompt my ring was set with the diamond of my choice and we were offered something to drink while we waited. It only took one hour to have the diamond set in my ring, and we were in and out of the store within 3 hours.
3 weeks later our engagement was called off, and when I called to return the rings, the people there were so thoughtfrul, compassionate and very helpful in my distress. I was refunded the amount I put down, less the setting fee, and they even called to see how I was doing a week later. I am very satisfied with the service I received, and now that a wedding date is definately set and this time we will not back out, we are going back to Jared to get our rings again. I have to say they are a little pricier than some of the jewelry stores in town, but the quality is exceptional! I would HIGHLY recommend Jareds to any of my family and friends.

Another Bad Experience – Another bad experience: My wife and I decided to buy our wedding set at Jared's, I guess we all make poor decisions from time to time. We are on a limited budget and thought Jared would be a place that understands that we are just starting out and are looking for a place to purchase jewelry for the rest of our lives together; boy, was I worng. I purhcased the engagement ring first--It took them almost 4 weeks to size the ring--that pushed back my engagement plans. We then went back to order my wedding band...after 2 weeks waiting we went back and discovered that the store manager didn't even place the order! It took almost 6 weeks to get it and we didn't even get, at the very least, an apology. They were speaking to us almost condensending like it was our fault for not spending more money. As a fair warning to anybody that is thinking about buying jewelry--think twice, unless you like poor customer service.
Worst experience of my life - ruined all three rings and miserable customer service – If we could only turn back the hands of time, my husband and I would never have walked into Jared. We were measured in the store and ordered our wedding bands, but apparently Joy disregarded the measurements and ordered both rings in "stock size". My husband had to make three extra trips back and forth to the store to get his ring stretched. No compensation, no apology, and the store acted as if they were doing us a favor by sizing the ring they had ordered incorrectly. Meanwhile, I had also taken my engagement ring in to be resized, and the jeweler broke the platnum ring in half while cutting it off. I understand that accidents happen, but then when they promised to fix it, it came back looking nothing like my engagement ring. Three tries, three trips, and quite a few tears later it's decent, but I miss my old ring. Jared, fyi, also only engraves in ALL CAPS, which looked ridiculous on my dainty band. But here is the real problem, and I why after visiting Jared both with a rational list of complaints on two occassions, and then in tears on two additional occasions, spending hours on the phone with customer service, and getting no satisfaction whatsover, I am writing this review to encourage you to STAY AWAY so that you are spared the frustration that I've experienced. Wedding bands carry a lot of emotion - they are a symbol of commitment, one that will hopefully be worn for the rest of my life. I must have visited 100 jewelry stores in the quest for the perfect wedding band, and again I wish that I turn back the clock because what I got was a slopily made piece of junk - oh, and in the wrong size, too. The ring I ordered had ten evenly spaced small diamonds around a thin band. It had a sizing bar and curved edges. The ring my finace picked up, however, had 11 unevenly spaced diamonds (it's quite comical to look at, really). It had sharp edges and no sizing bar. Do you know what the store gave us as compensation? A $10 Jared gift card.
