Dead wedding day flowers & then hung up on bride when called – We ordered our wedding day flowers months prior to the wedding and I, the bride, went in to speak about our order 4 times prior to the wedding. We ordered Black Magic and Freedom roses (half of each). I was called in to check the color of the freedom roses 6 weeks prior to the wedding so I could decide if that was what I wanted. The roses I was shown were beautiful and exactly what I wanted for my wedding!! I supplied numerous pictures of EXACTLY what I wanted my bouquet to look like.
Brenda, owner, called me 2 weeks prior to say she accidentally charged me $7.50 for my bridesmaids bouquets, and not $75.00 each and would be charging my card the next day. Thank goodness I got her on the phone early the next morning to correct her- we ordered SINGLE RED ROSES (2 freedom, 2 black magic) for the bridesmaids at $7.50 per piece. It clearly states this on both of our paperwork sheets.
On the wedding day, my fiance and his father went to pick our flowers up. The agreed upon time was 10:30 am (store was closed this day and pick-up was pre-arranged). My fiance was there and Brenda was rushing around to make MY bouquet, which resulted in my fiance having to wait around. My bouquet was supposed to be a mix of both roses, but only the freedom roses were present. He questioned this and she said there were problems ordering the roses from Columbia and that was the best she could do and then told him she needed to leave since it was her day off.
The roses were kept in a small amount of water and taken to the hotel. When I got there, there were petals fallen off onto the table, black and brown spots all over my bouquet, and the black ribbon wrapped around my bouquet had started to fall off. My flowers, along with 2 of the bridesmaids flowers, were clearly dying.
Myself and the mother of the bride called Brenda's cell phone at approximately 11:45 am. We did not get a call back until 4:30 pm, while I was dressing for the wedding. I expressed my concern to Brenda, stated that this was not what I ordered, and asked why my flowers were dying and falling apart. She told me I was a liar and a bi*** and hung up. The grooms mother and my mother called her back together and attempted to speak with her and resolve the issue, but were also hung up on and called liars.
My photographer, who was at the hotel with us, commented that these were terrible wedding flowers and probably the worst she has seen. She took many pictures for documentation.
Please do not use this place!!! They make you pay up front, which most places do, so there is no chance you will get your money back or your order made correct if you are unhappy. Please go elsewhere!!!
Horrible Service and dead flowers – A good friend sent me flowers but I was out of town for July 4th weekend. Got a voicemail from the florist on July 1st that they left it on my front steps. Tried to call every day to let them know I would be out of town. The flowers were dead with vase knocked over on the front steps. I live in a safe neighborhood in Briargate but one never knows. Not to mention that the number they left for me to call indicated they were closed from July 1 till July 6th!!!
Brenda the owner finally called me back and was asking me not to yell (I wasn't, although upset) as she was screaming at me and said it was her choice to make the policy and she was not responsible. I told her I had been trying to reach them to tell them but how was I to know they would be closed for five days of business. She screamed it was none of my business and to tell my friends that they didn't have to use her....and hung up on me. Unfortunately the store is affiliated with FTD so my friends use them to get local deliveries. It makes me want to tell everyone not to send me flowers anymore. This never happened to me in other cities. Dealt with them before and this was the worst but they seem to be consistent in their attitude.
I called FTD and will spare my good friends in the future by giving them the florist of my choice, it will Never be "Every Bloomin Thing".....they were awful, unkind, unprofessional. Ruined an experience of receiving something so beautiful.
