Stay away – I had a refrigerator problem and called Whirlpool service center. They made a service appointment for me with these guys. I was told that technician will call the day before to confirm. Appointment time frame was from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Nobody called me to confirm. On the scheduled day around 2:00 PM I started to get nervous and called service center to make sure that repairman is coming. They couldn't reach Boston Joe's what so ever. Customer Rep left 3 or 4 voice messages but it was all in vain. I ended up scrambling to find another repair company, hopefully it will be different experience.
Very rude phone personality – After calling frigidaire for an authorization number they steered me to these people.Then woman on the phone was rude and makes you feel like a criminal or something.Treated me like I was lying or something then told me to expect someone to come between nine and five oclock the next day.Well noone called or showed up.I wish that electrolux would screen these poor performers.Now I just lost a freezer and fridge full of food because it was a Friday that they were to service my broken refridgerator...
My Experience was great – I called to get an estimate and they explained their pricing structure to me which seemed the best of all the companies I called. Hector called before he arrived and then showed up a litter sooner than he thought. He was friendly and knowledgable and when he couldn't find the schematic that should have been with the machine he called in for the information that he needed. He tested it, diagnosed the problem and fixed it, then tested it to make sure it was operating right. He's been with the company 13 years so i think they both must be doing something right.
Poorly managed – From the horrible receiptionist to the terrible service.
My first impression with the initial phone call was not a good one but decided to give them a chance. After all, the receiptionist isn't the one servicing the machines. I shuld have trusted my instincts. I was given a time between 12 and 3. The technician never showed up. At 4:15 I called the office and asked where he was. I was told that they had no idea and that three other people called regarding the same thing. Basically what they were telling me was that the technician that was scheduled to come to my home was missing all day and no one had a clue as to where he was.
Thanks Boston Joe's for making me waste 1/2 vacation day.

If I was a former emplyoee of this company i would not admit it to anyone.
If i worked for years with not as much as a thank you..being reffered to as just another "stupid co#$ SU$%^R" technician..
If i attempted to take care of cutomers only to be told to just "get the money"and hut the He** up
If I watched employees belittled abused and disregarded year after year
If i listened to customer complaints ..forwarding the to the boss only to be told " f*^% them tell them to call santa claus
If i sold replacement parts at 100-200% over retail..
If i reccomeded a repair that i knew wasnt right, just to make the company a buck...
If i finally said to hell with this dump..and quit...
What would i have to show for yesrs of work?...

Worst appliance service in CT!!!!! – This is the rudest, worst managed repair business I've ever heard of! We bought a washing machine on Oct. 10th- it broke on Oct. 12th, and, because of the inept paperwork abilities of the staff, we STILL do not have a replacement for our washer. The technician who came to the house was courteous and seemed to know what he was doing, but was unable to complete the appropriate forms that the major appliance manufacturer requires in order to authorize the replacement. The secretary lied to my husband today, telling him that the technicain would call him back after he came into the office after his shift, then, when the time she gave me was past and I called back, she said she "forgot" it was Friday and that nobody would be working until Monday. On weekdays, however, she does not come into the office until 9:30, when the technicians are again inthe field. So, save yourself a lot of heartache- do not call these people for repairs or service!!!!!!
Worst company i ever worked for – I worked for this company for only a short peroid of time, but i can tell you alot about it. This company is poorly run. The office is minimaly staffed and there is very little structure in the company. I was hired to be a appliance technition but instead was put in the office to work with customers. The main office of the building is poorly orginized the paper work is not dealt with in a manor in which it will be worked on.
Boston Joe's Appliance Repair – Wow, I had to recheck the name on my invoice after reading the other reviews...
My experience was one of the best home repair days of my life ! The company gave us a service date within two days of calling when other repair shops said it would be a week or more; our service technician, Matt, called ahead and came earlier than the 12-4:00 time slot; he was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable; he willingly answered questions and shared several helpful consumer tips then even made time to check another problem appliance the same day !!
I will definitely call them again if I have problems.
Try working for the worst place ever, and then multiply it. – I agree with everything all of the other posters had said. Yes the place is a gnat and fly ridden dump with garbage everywhere. The owner does not care about his employees, or their work enviornment. I had to call OSHA because of the health hazards, including, thegarbage and clutter issue, exposed asbestos, smoking in the office, without a designated smoking area, working on ariconditioners and dehumidifiers in the office and releasing the freon into the air while smoking. (makes the gas toxic) If you want to say I am disgruntaled, well then yes I am. I spent many wasted years working for a "company" where the owner swears and insults his employees, makes them feel like they are wrong for caring, and manipulating the "system" to his benefit, let alone the inappropriate remarks, childish games, physical fights in the office by technicians that are high or drunk, technicians that steal and damage customers property, and complete disregard for his customers. I can only hope that karma will come back to this "company", for all of the negative, and uncalled for actions that are made to the employees and customers (the customer is never right in their eyes). Please If you value your stuff, and time, spend a little more and call the manufacturer directly. If they try to refer you to Boston Joes joke repair, make sure you downright refuse. It will save you ALOT of headaches in the future. I just wish my name was NEVER associated with that place!
There's only one way to change it! – Reading all the reviews were helpful and scary at the same time. I had a LG dehumidifier that I bought at Home Depot, and broke within 2 years of use. They recommended me to Boston Joe's and after reading these reviews, I called LG back and demanded a different provider. LG is having their service department find me a more convenient provider and time ? whether that indeed turns out to be a different provider, at this point remains to be seen. Nonetheless, the rep at LG told me when the Service Dept Rep from LG calls, to express my concerns and they will log a "voice of the people" complaint. I would guess that a number of these would eliminate the provider from the manufacturers list.
Bottom line: There's only one way to change Boston Joe's as a "Approved Service Provider" ? call the manufacturer and speak up! Good Luck.
