We attended Georgina's for an event in the lower banquet room. It was beautiful. We previously attended functions and ate at Georgina's, but it had always been on the main level. It's a great little room down there for smaller parties. The food and service was top notch. Our only complaint was the temperature on one side of the room was freezing. We repeatedly asked for the air to be turned down, whether it was or not I don't know. But it was cold. I found myself staying to one side of the room. Other than that, I had a chance to speak with John and he's a really nice guy. I would recommend this facility for any occasion, or just to go for dinner. Their food is phenomenal.
On Sunday, October 14th, my son was married at Georgina’s Restaurant and Banquet Facility. We held the wedding and reception in their large remodeled reception hall. Because Ryan is my only son, I wanted to make sure that this evening would be the perfect beginning of his new life. John, our event coordinator, made this happen!
The event planning for this wedding included a formal food tasting evening which was perfect because Chelsie and Ryan were then able to determine which foods they wanted to offer their guests. They loved everything. Between the appetizers and entrees that were offered, they had a hard time choosing their selections.
John was able to work with both Ryan and Chelsie on all the large and small details for their wedding. Chelsie’s favorite color and the one all her attendants wore was pink. She was able to have that color and as John suggested, he brought in another color, black for the napkins -=- it looked beautiful. Ryan’s favorite color is green, John was even able to have a special green napkin for Ryan – it was perfect!!
John encouraged Ryan and Chelsie to be creative with their ideas for their wedding. He assisted them with every detail. Everything you would envision for your son’s/daughter’s wedding came true that night. Everything was perfect, the details were amazing.
John didn’t want Ryan or Chelsie to see the final setting until their actual wedding night. The lighting, candles and music were romantic. For us, it was the small details that made it a wonderful and a memorable evening. Our little ring bearer fell asleep. John created a small sleeping area for him on the floor. A special diet was needed for some of the wedding guests, it was done without any issue. We had some elderly and handicapped folks, everyone was accommodated appropriately.
Would I recommend Georgina’s to anyone else who is planning a wedding – definitely!! The food, extra touches throughout the evening, the pictures taken outdoors were all amazing. It will be a wedding we will never forget. Memories will stay with you forever, I will always remember Ryan and the smile that never left his face the entire evening.
John, thank you for the wonderful job you and your staff did. The professionalism you and your staff showed that evening was well appreciated. Details for this evening were flawless. This will always be remembered as a “time in your life moment”.
It made losing a son and gaining a daughter even more memorable.
I've been here several times and I have never had a bad experience. Their food is awesome and they have great service. I met the owner, George, once when he was helping out the front desk and let me tell you, what a nice guy! You never see the owner of a pretty big establishment like this actually out helping customers. I also love that Georgina's always accommodates special requests. I was on a no carb diet a while ago and they have the option to put any sauteed pasta dish over spinach instead so I got the chicken athena over spinach instead of linguine. It was Delicious. Our waitress was so personable, she was even getting involved with our table's jokes, it was such a nice change from the dry service you get at a lot of restaurants. I highly recommend trying Georgina's
Great for weddings!! My step-daughter was married and had her reception here. We couldn't have been happier!! EVERYTHING went so smooth and on time... the appetizers were fresh and in abundance, the meal had perfect timing , they never missed a beat with the traditional wedding theme. I would highly reccomend them for anyones wedding/reception! They even have some beautiful gazebos for photos. Thank you to George and staff for a very memorable day!
We held our baptism reception at Georgina's. We were promised the world from the owner, George and banquet manager, John . We got none of it on the day of the reception. Crackers and cheese table were empty and re-fills were non-existent. I had to ask the server to bring out more crackers as they waited awkwardly for more. The ambiance was silent and contorted. Timing of meals was off. My guests had to wait as the buffet came out. The buffet table was set across from a table of 10. The buffet line had to cut through the guests sitting trying to enjoy their meal. Bad spot to put buffet. Meanwhile...I am trying to enjoy myself, but I find myself trying to figure out they they put only 2 servers on for a party of 64.
Once the cake came out and served, coffee ran out. I had to tell the server to re-fill the coffee as my guests were sitting waiting to have coffee with their cake. It was VERY AWKWARD to have 64 people waiting for the coffee container to be filled. In the meantime, the ice-cream melted. The food in the buffet ran out. My guests WAITED for more chicken franchese...more pasta...and more veggies. VERY INEXCUSABLE!
I approached the owner of the restaurant, George, who sat in his office surfing the internet, and explained to him I was unhappy. He was apologetic and full of excuses.
At the end of the day, he came up with every excuse under the sun--blaming the server who also served as "floor manager". During my initial negotiations with the banquet manager, John, he promised me the he would be there that day directing things--and he was a no-show.
There was a lot of mis-communication between the banquet manager and owner--as both PROMISE you everything and nothing goes smoothly. It was clear, these guys wanted to make their money and shaft us on the service. Although the food was good, my guests and I had to WAIT for it. I will NEVER use this place again for a banquet. It was over-priced and poorly run.
My Girlfriend and her family decided to throw a surprise birthday party for their father's birthday in May. They couldn't have picked a better restaurant to do it at. Not only was their banquet hall gorgeous, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing. The owner, George, even went out of his way to help lure their father into the banquet hall, the look on his face when we yelled surprise said it all.. It is refreshing to find an owner, and staff at a restaurant that genuinely cares about making someones banquet or event, all it can be. The guests are still raving about the seafood stuffed mushrooms, and endless buffet. It was an amazing night, all thanks to Georgina's! Highly recommended!
Best place if you love to eat! – I'm a big guy so when I'm craving Italian food I want something that's delicious and filling (like my Italian grandma's cooking- although nothing beats that of course). When I go to Georgina's I usually order the chicken parm or the fettuccini alfredo which is enough food to fill me up at least 2 times. Even though those are my favorites, I have tried a few other plates like the chicken francaise and the scallop miscue. Everything is always so good! I have never had a bad experience here. You can't beat the price either at around $16 a plate.
The staff is always so warm and welcoming, I've talked to the owner a couple of times- he's such a nice guy who I can tell has a lot of pride in his establishment. Whenever I'm at Georgina's I always see him there working, which is refreshing to see since a lot of restaurant owners these days let their managers put in all the work.
I definitely recommend this place.. ESPECIALLY for family dinners or business get togethers.
Best food & servic – We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Georgin's restaurant and invited 15 of our friend to join us. We always Know how wonderful Georgina's is but when all of our friends raved about the food and service, we just had to tell everyone. We all agreed that Georgina's is a gem and tell everyone about it.
Wonderful Restaurant – Loved the food and service was great!
Great food...Bartender from HELL – My wife and I recently came to Georgina's on a Saturday and it was fairly busy in the dining room, so we opted to eat at the bar. We had not eaten in the bar before and it was understandable why. Not only did the bartender act like we were a huge burden on her, she started yelling at another waitress right in front of everyone. This wasn't a simple scolding, this was an actual argument and the bartender continued to get louder. My wife and I felt extremely uncomfortable by this and we could tell others at the bar shared our same thought. We really enjoyed the food but I do not think we could ever eat in the bar ever again after that experience.
