Don't bother – th

e Thursday February 4, 2010 bartender is terrible. She appearently thinks over charging patrons so she can feed her friends free drinks will go unnoticed.

this is the best bar in downtown – this place is the best. friendly staff, friendly customers, just a great all around welcoming environment. peanuts keep you going all day, not too over crowded like some other downtown bars, good music wether its the dj or the people playin the juke box

Fridays are HOT – The Fed Cafe is a chill place to hang out for any crowd. Friday nights there is a house DJ playing everything from The Beastie Boys and SUblime to DipSet and Daddy Yankee. Drinks are cheap, no cover, no dresscode, good times and good people.

Definitely a good place to go if ur sick of Hartford's weak club scene.

This landmark sports bar is the oldest saloon in the city. – The Scene
A Hartford staple, the Federal feels like the tavern that once starred in the old TV series "The Untouchables." Federal Cafe is a landmark on the corner of Church and Union streets, and is the oldest saloon in town. Not for the faint-hearted who leave the city at quitting time, the Federal attracts a clientele as gritty as the bar itself.

The Draw
On any given day, this tiny sports bar's TVs are locked to the game schedule. Regular patrons, some who look like they were around for the bar's first anniversary, toss peanut shells on the floor and cheer loudly for the Red Sox, Yanks, Bruins, Patriots and Huskies. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, live music competes with the televised sports above the bar.

cool – Small bar but really friendly people work thier and own it. Great place to just hang out and were jeans and a baseball hat if you want or get dressed up if you want. Great music and alot of selection for drinking.
