I searched many schools in the area when my twins needed daycare. When I found FSA, I knew this was the perfect match. I was first attracted to the large rooms and many different playgrounds that will be available to them. What sold me was the teachers, they truly care about your kids. Now that it's summer, they have an awesome summer camp program lined up. From field trips to parks, queen mary, natural history museum, to choo choo trains, mickey mouse show, animal petting zoo, pony rides, bbqs, water slides, aquarium on wheels, there are too many to name! I know my kids are well cared each day. I have seen their development soar and it's all thanks to the wonderful staff at FSA.
By far my favorite school – I really like FSA. My daughter has been going there since May 2011. I did my homework, as I encourage all moms to do when they are looking for daycare, after all your kids will spend most of their day time there.
When I visited the school, I inmediately knew I wanted my daughter to go there. I was very nervous about taking her to day-care because I wanted to make sure she got the care she was receiving at home, and discipline at the same time. FSA has the perfect balance. The teachers are REALLY caring. My daugther talks about them all the time, specially Ms. Kim now in her younger two room.
Every single teacher at the school knows who she is, and surprisingly enough, they know when she is there or not.
Teachers do care about the kids, please don't confuse them teaching them independence with not caring for your kids. My daughter imitates what she does at school at home, and it is very impresive for her age.
The school has tons of activities which I love, because I want to make sure my daughter is exposed to different things. I receive a daily report that includes activities, mood, eating, naps and potty usage.
The directors are very friendly as well and they listen to what you have to say. Not a surprise for me to see people who work at my company use FSA as well, none of them refered by my, but they were drawn to FSA for the same reason I was.
Please be smart when choosing school, this might not be the right one for you depending on what you are looking for, but that doesn't mean that this is a bad school. Me, my husband and my daughter are very happy.
Love This School – I really love this school. I have been a parent at FSA for six years. My older daughter, who is now in first grade, graduated from here and my younger daughter is now in the younger two-year old room.
The school has tons of "extras" like field trips, karate, music, gymnastics, Spanish, Chinese, etc... but without a doubt it is the teachers who really make it a special place. Every teacher in the room knows not just my daughter's name but her personality as well, which comes in really handy on those days she needs a little extra love. And the teachers also know my personality. They know what I do and don't want my daughters eating, what my priorities are and how to put me at ease on those days when it is hard to leave my baby.
The education is very individualized, especially for the youngest children. Unlike many centers where the infant room is just a padded cell, FSA has curriculum for the babies with songs, circle time and tactile play. Be it walking, potty training or preparing for elementary school, they will work to your needs.
I credit FSA with making my older daughter the wonderful, caring and helpful person that she is. Even now, two years out, she looks forward to coming back to visit and pick up her sister. (Neither of them will leave the building without stoping to hug each and every person they see on the way out the door.) And she came into elementary school very prepared - reading, knowing her numbers and able to do simple addition.
The greater school community is great also. Not only are my daughter's closest friends her classmates from FSA, my closest friends are also their parents. We get together weekly outside of school for dinner, the park and other activities.
I do have to warn you about one thing, though - be prepared for all the singing. Your child will frequently come home having learned a new song and will randomly start singing it in the car, at the dinner table, and anywhere else she gets the urge.
Really good school, getting better – Our daughter has been enrolled in Future Stars since she was eight months old, and most recently transitioned to fulltime in the
FUTURE STARS' RESPONSE TO REVIEW "Not all what they make it" – OUR RESPONSE TO REVIEW TITLED: "Not all what they make it seem"
As the owners of Future Stars Academy we are committed to hearing feedback from parents to ensure that every detail of their child's day is to their satisfaction. Since we never heard from this parent while they were enrolled and did not know what they were dissatisfied with, we were never able to address or even discuss the criteria they were judging us on. We STRONGLY believe and take pride in how much love and care our children get, and we feel that a great indication of how well the kids are getting cared for is their mood when they're picked up, dropped off, and throughout the day. That's why we always tell parents to drop in unannounced and take a look at the kids. Do they look happy or sad? Engaged or bored? Do they seem to be missing their parents or are having so much fun they're not even paying attention to the adults in the room? Are the kids running amuck or is there an organized activity going on? Are they learning new things every day? Has every member of our 20 person staff at the school taken the care to learn their name? Kids do get messy at our preschool--we have four playgrounds; lots of painting; art projects; sensory activities like letting infants touch, taste, and play with pumpkin-pie filling; cooking projects; and many other messy activities. We always change the kids' clothes and are more than happy to do it several times a day. We also make an effort to clean the kids' faces both before naptime (after lunch) and at the end of the day. AND we take great care in making sure that above all, the kids are happy, making friends, learning, and loving school. So if parents have any concerns, they are not just encouraged, but URGED to let us know so we can continually improve.
Not all what they make it seem. – There are better schools out there don`t even waste your time here.they do not take care of the kids as well as they get paid to do so.they smile in your face like everything is fine and then when you pick your child up you can tell they haven`t been getting taking care of correctly shoes on backwards, face nasty, clothes dirty (when extra clothes are provided) i can go on &on,this school is not for my child,my child needs more love and care than what this school provide.don`t let the fun website and welcoming hello fool you..my child isn`t old enough to talk so i had to pay attention to what was in front of me..take it from me a SMART PARENT don`t trust this school.
Amazing Preschool – After a horrible experience at another preschool i decided to enroll my daughter at FSA. I can't say how happy i am that I did this. It's probably the best decision I could have made for my child as well as myself. The staff their is 100% dedicated to the children. They work with each child individually and adapt their teaching styles to each child. Their creative minds and enthusiasm make the children want to learn. Education is not just academically challenging at FSA it's also fun. I feel that a schools reflection starts from the top and at this preschool the director is amazing. She is constantly checking on the classrooms and interacting with the children. The communication between the staff is key and everyone is on top of their game. Even more, Cindy the director also makes learning fun through song. She created a song for my daughter to learn how to spell her name in the matter of 5 minutes. If you want a place for your child where they will excel and have fun then FSA is the place to go. Thank you FSA for everything you've done and for the attention you've giving my daughter!
Infant Center need a Camra installed – Some of staff for the most part was nice and professional. I found out so much in the 1 week that I worked in the infant center it is amazing the thing I saw. My experience was not professional, as I observed one of the longtime staff member doing things that I was mandated to report. I went to the Director and reported what I observed and was let go as a result of reporting my observations. I think that parents should know what the babies are experiencing at the hand of a longtime staff member. I would give the school a 5 on appearance, a 2 on staff member professionalism, and a 0 on the sneaky things they do to cover up, smiling in the parents faces and not loving and caring for the kids when the parents are away. I will be contacting the child abuse hotline it is not fare to the babies they can not speak for themselves it is our job to protect children. Please pay attention to your children, check the diapers for rashes or anything that look suspeious, any scars that you know were not there when you dropped the baby off and report it ASAP!. Scratches, bite marks anything you see, because your baby can not talk and tell you mommy and daddy a staff members has harmed or have not been protecting me, or have not been supervising me properly. Pay atention to your children please. Find out about all the turn overs in teachers and care givers, Why are teaching being hired and let go so fast with the excuse they are not a good fit after reporting observations. They hire and let go of teachers that report abuse so the best thing to do is pop up at circle time, pop up at lunch time, and pop up at diaper changing times, and please pop up at knaptime to make sure your child is truly being treated with care and love you will be suprised and so will they if you do not let them know you are coming you will see for yourself. If they know you are coming they will clean it all up before you get there. This is the honest to God truth.....God loves babies and we are to protect our children and elders.
WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL – What an amazing school! We just started a few months ago and I can't believe what my twin 3-year-olds have already learned. This school has a great balance of academics, socialization, current issues (environment, stranger awareness, etc), and most of all FUN!! They let kids be kids, and still manage to teach them a TON!! It's awesome.
GREATEST SCHOOL IN SOUTH BAY AREA!!!!!! – I am a parent at Future Stars and personally, I love this school. The teachers here are friendly and really take the time out to get to know your child and know their needs. The director Cindy is amazing and holds everything together at this school. She is so friendly, and just an honest person. My children have been at this school since they were infants and the infants have awesome curriculum as well as the older children. I would definitely reccommend this school to my other family members with children and friends with children.
