Architecture is something I'm really interested in. This museum may be boring for those who aren't but if you care how bridges are built or how the state capital was designed you'll be here a while.
Citysearch Editorial Review – Three things are likely to strike visitors about the National Building Museum: a gorgeous serene fountain in the middle of a massive room, gigantic marble-painted columns framing the area, and a pack of children playing with soft building blocks in the corner. Yes, the museum’s architecture is certainly a draw, but there is much more to this building. Hidden behind its regal walls are revolving exhibits on the architectural history of Washington, D.C.; collections featuring photography, building plans, and even toys; and programs, lectures, and symposia on topics such as women in architecture and building in the 21st century.
