I woke up on a saturday morning and my subzero refrigerator was leaking all over my kitchen. I got dry ice and hit the web. I found them on Citisearch and one phone call I had Sean out here less than two hours later. He fixed it within 45 min and also cleaned it. He said I got lucky. If I waited few more days I would have had a burned compressor, which would have cost me at least 800 bucks. So crisis avoided.
Would call them again.
Very pleasant experience! – We discovered that our Kenmore refrigerator was not working properly on a Thursday eve, with the freezer covered in ice and snow while the lower part was at room temperature.
We called Sears repair center, but they were not available for another 3 weeks, they said. So we left messages with several appliance repair companies in the area. Allen and Sons Appliance Service was the first to return our call the next morning. They were very willing to work with our time frame and made sure that we keep an appointment. The technician, Bob, was very knowledgeable and efficient. He diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to fix it within half an hour. A very pleasant experience overall.
Do not use this company they are horrific – Scheduled service for washing machine. They delayed told me incorrect times . So we wait and then had to reschedule the guy comes out said there was a part he had to order to fix the machine but he pushed the button and told my daughter she could use it temporarily the machine filled with water never drained the guy left. Two weeks to get in part scheduled the service repair guy same one came out again said now the motor is burned out and and we need to spend more money and that he never said to use the machine. So I asked to speak with a supervisor was transferred to a phone operator. Finally told me I had to speak with Greg the manager. He would call back but about 15 min prior to closing still no phone call machine was still filled with water and no way to fix it or drain the water. So I called Greg finally got on the phone was so rude told me to email him the situation regarding what happened. So I did at this point he said you can spend the money more like three hundred more we will come back out or we can refund what you prepaid. Really his technician broke our machine and this is their answer to fix the problem. So I emailed back told him his avoidance is unacceptable and that I want to speak with his supervisor. Waiting to hear bottom line is this company is shit..period..don't ever call them or use them.
AWFUL AWFUL COMPANY! – Scheduled service for my ice machine at a second home. Travelled 2 hours to meet technician. Waited 5 hours for tech, then called to find out that he was 'held up on a really, really big job'. No matter how hard i reasoned, the response was "there's nothing i can do about it". Rescheduled appointment - tech showed up and gave outrageous estimate (which i paid $45 for, not the $29 that i see advertised). I then get a call back that the tech they sent wasn't qualified so i had to go meet another tech. I did that after another 2 hour drive. I then asked for them to please book me in to install the part on a day that i was at the home. Absolutely no help at all - i kept hearing no no no, there's nothing we can do. Greg is the Manager/boss guy and he is a complete prick. Very rude, and unwilling to help. I cancelled the whole thing, and now i'm gonna decline any bogus charges. DON'T DO IT!
Superb! – I called a couple companies in the phonebook. Allen and Sons seemed to be the best. Their service fee was only $29.99. When technician was there I even gave him a personal check. Both the woman that I scheduled the appointment with and the technician were very kind and well mannered. I really enjoyed the service I received.
misqouted – they came out like promised looked at the fridge and gave us a quote, which we agreed to after the work was completed they gave us the bill which was $100.00 higher. When we questioned the bill we were told oh the first quote didn't include labor. When we said we only agreed to the first price he said we had to pay or he would uninstall the part and leave. but he would have to send us a bill for all his time. We told him we would pay but we weren't happy. then on top of it he was suppose to deduct the $30.00 service call charge if we agreed to let them do the work.......
Don't use this company!! – We had two appliances that broke at the same time, a dishwasher and a microwave. They came over to assess these and order the appropriate parts. Once the parts arrived, they came back to do the repairs, but were only able to repair one of the appliances, stating they ordered the wrong part for the other appliance. One week went by and they returned to fix the second appliance. They failed to reassemble the microwave back together completely, and then when they asked for payment they tried to raise the price from what was originally quoted.
After one week of the repair of the microwave, it again malfunctioned. I contacted Allen & Sons to come back. I scheduled an appointment and they called to confirm the appt two times the day prior. I called back to reconfirm. My husband waited at home all day and they never showed up. Turns out they left me a message on my cell phone at and b/c I didn't return their call to again reconfirm their appointment they just didn't show up. I called back to spoke with the manger to request a refund. I spoke with a secretary who confirmed a refund would be issued to me within 2 weeks. They I requested a call from a manager directly to confirm this, and when he called back he stated this was not true and that they can not refund my money. He then proceeded to become very confrontational over the phone, still refusing to request a refund. So after 4 visits, we are out $135 and our microwave still does not work.
