I received a call from PDM based on an issue with my son. The first gentlemen i spoke with (Walter), was extremely helpful and explained exactly what the issue was. Fast forward to the next day when I called back to speak with Walter to ask a couple questions and make sure my son contacted him as discussed. I was answered from a man who identified himself as the manager and Walter's boss. I was told by George that I had to address him as Mr. Alexander. I was absolutely appalled. The call was handled poorly from the beginning. George spoke over me, cut me off, voices were raised. I tried to stop the conversation from going south, and said "OK, Let stop and take a step back". He responded with "I don't have to do anything" He was rude, condescending and showed zero customer service skills. I have managed in call center/ customer service environments for 25 years. If any of my employees treated any customers, like MR. Alexander treated me today, they would have been removed immediately. I asked to speak with his boss and was told NO. He also said if I called back he would call the authorities and have me arrested for harassment. Is this truly how PDM wants to be represented? If they do,,,, Is this how you want your company represented???? You need to really ask yourself this questions, before you choose them as a partner......The fact that this company has managers with the wrong mindset calling customer is unacceptable. I don't care what the reason for the call.
To Michael Brown, you most go and take classes about how to work with human, you don't have NO right to humiliate people, and is not your business if my husband don't speak English, you act like an racist, and for your information I have my payments on time it was a mistake of the company when they send my account to your company. Next time try to be gentle with others because you never know when you can get on this situation (having economic problems or loosing your job). Your are a unprofessional person. If you are "just doing your job" do it right, don't try to humiliate, because you never know.
Not so bad after all.... – I don't see where all the negativity is coming from. They are just doing their job. If you owe debt then it's because you broke a contract that you signed. Don't sign it unless you can pay for it. I learned the hard way when my roommate moved out on me and I was stuck with an apartment I couldn't afford. I called PDM and asked how to take care of it. Jay Johnson worked with me for several YEARS until l could come up with the money to pay. Of course he was very upfront and he called a lot. But they are just doing their job!! He was great, he even faxed me a letter the very next day to prove that I no longer owed.
One this I have learned is whenever I read a review about a collection company, there will be all derogatory remarks. I used to work at PDM, INC. in Jacksonville. The address is the first incorrect statement I noticed. PDM can and will fax any information the same day. Ask for a copy of the contract and it will be sent. Nothing about the collection method is fraud, but there are a lot of people whom I have caught in lies telling me it was not them, when I have a copy of the driver's license and parent and siblings names and phone numbers that they hand-wrote on the original application. Any file in PDM has the original contract , and also eviction letter, and court documents, and copy of the residents ID. On top of this, PDM does not own nor purchase ANY debt. It is all sent in a batch file with copies of all documents directly for the apartment. Also, the apartments have their own settlement rates that they will allow the company to accept, so when you call and ask for a settlement, we had to call and beg the complex if your offer was below their parameters. The company is a good and solid company. My only issue is the pay was not good enough for this economy and there is no career advancement in staying there. Michael Stanton
Fraud Debt Collectors – I received a letter from these people saying that my old apartment complex wants to collect money from me (I didn't think anything of it because I knew it was true). I'm trying to get a new apartment so I wanted to settle this debt. My mom offered to pay the amount owed but she wanted to see if she can get it lowered first. She actually googled the this company and read you guys' reviews and she told me that she doesn't feel comfortable send these people the money. So she called my old apartment complex and she found out that they NEVER hired these people to collect the money not to mention they NEVER even heard of them. I don't know how they got my info but I wantto thank you guys for the heads up. :)
PDM – I AM SEND TO FRIST NOTES TO MAILED TO MIKE BROWN HIS NAME AND HE RESPOND AND THEN THEY CALLED MY HOME RECENTLY AND MY GIRLFIREND DAUGHTER ANSWER THAT THEY COMPLAIN TO FILE AGAINST ME ABOUT THSI 610.00 TO PAY OFF AND I DID SEND TO MAILED YESTERDAY TO THEM 2 ND NOTICE I AM NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS AND THEY ARE INPATIENT HIMSELF TO COMPLAIN TO GIVE MY GIRLFIREND SHE IS DEAF SHE WONT ANSWER PHONE BUT THEY GAVE TO DAUGHTER TO ANSWER IT AND I LAUGH SO HARD THEY ARE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY DOING ME AND MY GIRLFIREND ARE DEAF PERSON THEY DO ANYHTING WITH THIS THEY TRIED TO SNUB ON US TO GET US TROUBLE AND THEY ARE VERY MEAN NOT FRIENDLY PERSON
I second the motion that these people are very rude. I set up payment arrangements for these people to take 4 payments of $100.00 and 1 payment of $82.98 out of my account to pay back a pay day loan that was in default. Well my last payment they took out a $100 so I called to see what I needed to do for them to credit my account back. They told me they only took out $82.98 well I requested to speak to a manager and the manger told me they didn't take a $100 and told me I was not a customer I was a debtor. I end up going through my bank to file a fraud report. After all that I they end up crediting my account the difference before my bank could start the investigation. I paid the loan off in September and they have yet to pay the company I had the loan with. Talk about CROOKS. RUDE CROOKS AT THAT
The worst crooks on earth – These stupids sitting at the debt agency think they are the GOD's on earth. I lost my credit due to the wrong handling of these people. Now I am trying to correct it. They sent a non-payment notice to the credit agency before they sent me a collection notice. The charge was totelly unjustified. Since I dont have much options, I paid the unjustified amount. But now I have a bad credit report as well as have paid this unjustified amount.
Perhaps the credit agencies should check the validity of the claims by such stupids before they mark into the credit report of the individuals.
Had I got these people by hand, I might have physically manhandled them... the worst crooks on earth.
Very suspect and dishonest people – This company reported a deliquency on my credit report. They never confirmed or verified they had the right person. They simply reported it to anyone who matched my name. They are unethical and careless with information. NEVER should any company make entries on someone's credit report until they have verified that ALL INFORMATION is a PERFECT MATCH. The person they claim to be looking for didnt match ANY of my information other than my name. This is fraudulent and the Attorney General of the State of Florida should be investigating! They cost me getting housing.
Rude People! – I tried to call about a debt that I was a secondary on from 2003 to get a break down of the charges and the payments, the girl said there was a $25 returned check fee on the account. I said why wasn't I notified 5 years ago when I paid it? She had no answer and said she would call me back which she did not do. So I called back a few hours later to see what was going on she immediately transferred me to the operations manager who was so rude and said he would not send me anything til I paid the $25. I told him I would pay if he would send me the breakdown I had requested he said that it was so old the original information was purged but I still had to pay. I asked if he was the owner and to speak with someone above him and he said no one could help me with what I needed and then hung up on me. This company was very unprofessional and rude.
