Jackie's Seafood. No matter what I order at Jackie's Seafood, it is always outstanding! With cooler weather coming, make sure you try the soups! They are some of the best I have ever had. The staff is friendly and very attentive and do a great job!

Best Fried Shrimp in the WORLD. I'm a world traveler. I've been all around the USA coast, and I've yet to find a place that can make fried shrimp like they do here: paper thin batter, sweet shrimp. Simple but no none does it like this. I mean paper thin batter. It is so good my last trip to JAX, I went there and ordered a plate, then I ordered another plate and ate it. With food like this, you don't care about ambiance or the low tide smell outside.

Outside seating makes the difference. Call ahead to make sure Jackie's is seating people outside on their deck. This makes all the difference. The inside ambience is a little depressing, but dining outside next to the Trout River is terrific.

Great fried shrimp here!
