Disappointed – !! The seats will leave you smelling like grease !! Nasty !! They must be using greasy old rags to wipe them down. Had to go home and wash my clothes. The spaghetti with meat sauce is not good. Pizza was wet and runny. Tried to talk to the management and got nowhere. Very argumentative. I will not go back to any of their Cafe. I would not recommend this place to a friend !!

I have been here 3 times before and had their cold antipasto and sicilian pizza and it was excellent. So for my birthday I took my whole family there yesterday and was so disappointed. The antipasto was good (not great) and the sicilian pie was good too however the salads that came with the dinner was romaine, shredded red cabbage (a lot of it too) and 4 slices of carrots.,not a cuke, tomato, onion, or olive in sight and the so- called homemade italian vinaigrette(sp?) was like a sweet mayonnaise that was so thick you couldn't pour it on your salad if you tried.Terrible. The veal parm and chicken parm had a sauce that for some reason was very orange..and there was a big tendon in the chicken...to be fair the veal was very tender and had a generous amount of cheese but that sauce was "odd". The eggplant parm was...okay..but I had really expected everything to be great considering some of the reviews. The kids enjoyed the pasta dishes, though I thought serving the gnocchi with diced mozzerella on top was strange (looked like mini marshmallows) as it wasn't melted just sitting on top. The bread was delicious as always....but I'd say that if that is the BEST of the meal..someone in the kitchen "dropped the ball". It was a 40 min. drive to get there and will not be making that trip again unless I am in the area and then I will stick to the sicilian pie and cold antipasto.

If CSMobileuser2 thinks this is "authentic Italian food" he must be used to eating at Olive Garden!

Excellent – The food was very flavorful and fresh! This is the best authentic Italian food I've ever had. Trimisu and chocolate lava cake is a must!

Friggin' Incredible. – It wouldn't be polite to say I'm a food critic... no I'm MUCH worse than a food critic. I'm a food SNOB. And when this snob wants REAL and AUTHENTIC food... I go see Pasquale and his masterful and consistent cooking at Positano's. Honestly, in all my years of living in the shadow of this restaurant (almost literally) I have never ever had a bad meal here. Order anything on the menu and it is good. No exceptions. And if you want something custom, just ask. So, if you are like me and demand to satisfy your taste buds with something more than tasteless dead animal wrapped up in a bland blanket of rigid bread at the drive through place - if you seek enlightenment for your inner gastronomic monk - search no more and eat here. If you leave disappointed it is because your Pavlovic longing for Taco Hell is just too strong to overcome... you can take that up with your therapist.

Best Italian food in town! – FIVE STARS without hesitation! The place is the REAL DEAL!!! I have been a frequent customer since the restaurant opened doors 12 years ago. I can describe the food as ?authentic Italian cuisine?! Cafe Positano offers more that just excellent food ? it offers consistency!

Cafe Positano has ample ethnic grounding in Italy's casual restaurants. You have a choice to hang at the bar, sit in the casual dining area, or be seated in the elegant dining room which offers privacy. Best of all, the Cafe represents terrific food, prepared with first-rate ingredients with clear taste. The service is excellent! They also offer tasteful live entertainment Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Please, don?t even bother reading the poorly written one-star reviews! They are very misleading and obviously written by hateful and illiterate people who should be spending their money at MacDonald?s!

Don?t hesitate to visit their website "cafepositanos dot com" to check their menu. If you are already a customer and you have a concern ask for Pasquale (not ?Pasquel? as written by the angry moron ?greeneyes922?) who?s always available and will assist you immediately.

Dissappointed! – Mediocre food just will not save the poor service here. We were welcomed with slow seating even with empty tables in view, then continued to be dissappointed by a forgotten salad and mixed up entrees (even after three visits from our waitress to reconfirm our order--"WRITE IT DOWN!" is what we wanted to scream. Maybe she was having a bad day but the waitress seemed tired and confused. After telling our out of town visitors that this is suppose to THE Italian place in town, we were embarrassed and baffled. We've never been back, needless to say.

Horrible Service, Owner cares about stuffing his face more than his customers... – The food is good, that is if you get it.

Over the coarse of the last 3 months the service has just went downhill and downhill and tonight was the icing on the cake.

I will be honest, the only reason i even give the place the time of day is because its on my home from work, i work in Apopka and live in Maitland so its easy for me to make a pit stop at.

The last time i went there about a week ago we had a waiter who looked like he had been smoking something and acted like it to, the service was horrible, i looked around for a manager but as usual didnt see one.

What I did see though is the "owner" trolling around the restaurant always eating something. I tried to get his attention a few times but he kept seeming to avoid me so i left the waiter a dollar tip and went on my way.

This last time (tonight) a buddy of mine was with me from out of town and we decided to stop by after work. He ordered lasagna and i ordered stromboli, pretty complicated order huh? Well his meal came out in about 15 minutes but mine never came. About 15 minutes after his came out our waiter came up to us and said "sorry boss, we put yours in late it will be right up". I said "fine" and patiently waited, well another 15 minutes past and still nothing. At this point my friend was done his meal and the waiter apologized to me again.

Keep in mind it probably takes about 7 minutes to full cook a stromboli, and im sure thats if your slow.

Well my food finally came 45 minutes after we had sat down, i refused it and said i wanted to see a manager, keep in mind I was VERY polite.

I waited another 15 minutes and i saw our waiter talking to the owner, this charachter named "Pasquel", and as usual hes mouth is chomping up and down on food, thats all he seems to do is walk around and eat..

Our waiter comes back and says "The owner said the meal was on the house".

Well thats all fine and dandy because i had no intention of leaving any money anyway but what really annoyed me was that owner...

Stands Unique – Caffe Positano is truly outstanding across several categories. For casual pizza/pasta in a casual setting sit close to the pizzeria side. For a family dining the main center section is perfect with menu choices from basic pasta through wonderful, unique fish dishes and sauces. Adjacent to the "family dining" section is a full bar which several nights a week offers live entertainment drawing an active crowd.

Lastly if you want fine dining with white table cloths and more intimate surroundings then gravitate to the far right and you will be very pleased with the quiet ambience in addition to the many "specials' offered separate from the regular menu. Try the "Penne Cardinalle Dinner Entree or Rock Shrimp/Portabello Mushroom Appetizer"

Service is always very efficient and one of the owners, Pasquale, is almost always there to greet customers with a friendly Italian flair.

Apopka is lucky to have this fine restaurant.

Great food at reasonable prices – I have been frequenting Positano's since it originally opened in Alatmonte/Apopka. The service is first rate. They have a friendly staff who go above and beyond to please. If you aren't happy with your order just let them know, the bend over backwards to make you happy. Food is superior to most of the Italian in this area. If you want something a little different, ask for the Dover Sole, exquisite.

If you want casual dining, they have it. If you want fine dining, they have it. Great all around.
