Longwood stalwart sticks to Korean favorites. – In Short
A simple, roomy storefront with a mix of booths and tables. Fans and hanpok, the Korean equivalent of kimonos, hang on flowered wallpaper, but the radio booms American oldies. As with some other cuisines from Asia, you'll find many stir-fry-and-rice combos on the menu (as well as soupy stews), but the Korean take is a bit spicier and lighter on the fat when frying. Meals come with an assortment of spiced and pickled cabbage, sweet cucumbers and tangy radishes. Yakimandu is a favored beef-and-vegetable dumpling appetizer that doesn't spoil appetites. Bulgoki, or any of the other marinated, barbecued meats are popular with first-timers and bibimbap, a mix of egg, rice and pork in a clay pot is popular among regulars.
