Kappys in Maitland is Krappy – Me and my wife was driving down 17/92 in Maitland and noticed Kappys. My wife looked them up on the internet and saw some good reviews so we decided to go the next day for lunch.
IT WAS AWFULL AND THE EMPLOYEES COULDN"T CARE LESS.
I ordered two Philly Cheese Steaks with onions, peppers and mushrooms. Two medium cokes and an order of onion rings.
They told me the mushrroms would be 50b cents extra and I said okay. I did not price out anything before ordering because we were just there to get what we wanted on a rainny Sunday.
This may sound good and any mooron should be able to make this sandwich.
As you pay at the window they ask for the tip up front on the ticket you sign so you feel obligated even though you have no clue what kind of service you would get.
I gave they a couple of bucks for a tip even though I ordered at a window and I was not served. All they had to do was cook it and push it through.
When they called my name I went up to the window and they said it was at the side window where it was rainning.
I walked over to the side window with the rain and got my sandwichews and sat down under the outside covered area.
Me and my wife opened up the sandwiches and what we saw was a bun filled with hamberger, some canned unheated mushrroms and pickled peppers.
We were like what is this? We didn't even see the onions.
I went back up to the window and asked if they put onions on the sandwich and they said they did.
I went back to the table and after a search me and my wife concluded that there may be some little specks of onions mixed in the hamberger.
I went back to the window and asked if the way they made the Philly Cheese Steaks was with the onion mixed in the hanmberger before the cooked the meat and they said yes.
I went back and sat down with my wife and we discussed how this was not like any Philly Cheeses Steak we had ever ordered and how WE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OF COOKING "STEAK-UMS" AT HOME.
As we talked and decided this was not a Philly Cheese Steak place could they be redeemed by looking at the menue and finding some things we liked.
My wife noticed that there was a combo for about the same price as what we got.
I went and asked them about this and they looked at the ticket and said we got and paid for what we ordered.
Then I noticed that what we got was a Kappy Steak Sandwiched and told her this is not what we ordered and what I ordered was a Philly Cheese Steak.
They could not care less and that was that. They were nice and all but didn't care what we ordered how they served it or even if we were happy or not.
I went back to the window at this point and asked about a receipt to maybe refer to Management later and realized I was dealing with management. There was 4 employees there and not one of them gave a Krappy.
They said we could hand write you one and I just decided that this was what this place was all about. KRAPPY SERVICE.
I went to my vehicle to leave and almost went back in to ask for my couple of tip dollars back but decided that KRAPPY KAPPY WAS NOT WORTH MY TIME.
So here I am letting the Krappy out of the bag.
FOR A KRAPPY GO TO KAPPY'S OF MAITLAND.
Next time we want something like that we can do better by cooking up some Steak-Ums.
STAY OUT OF KRAPPY KAPPY'S.
They have 5 chances between 4 people to make this right but couldn't give a Krappy.
Best Cheesesteak In Town – Hoagies with steak, cheese, and onions are great. Good ol fashioned American food right here. It's a must go if you haven't been, just ignore the fact that the place looks like a tiny little hut.
Best CheeseSteak Subs Around – I went to Kappy's for the first time a couple of weeks ago and WOW have I been missing out. Ive lived in Orlando my entire life and had never been to this place?! My favorite cheesesteak use to be from BT Grinders on the east side of town but since they closed down about 7 years ago I haven't had a cheesesteak I would even call good until now. Seriously, if you haven't been here, you are missing out because I crave one about once a week now! Oh! And they have some pretty good rootbeer floats if that's something you fancy :)
Love It – Well, where do I begin
Frist, I LOVE the day time girls, they are a very fun and love to make you smile.

The day shift is very friendly and family oreinted.
Kappy's a Local Tradition – Kappy's is a great little dinner. I love this place. You drive up and park your car under the restaurant's car port; you then order from the outside window, or from inside. The inside is very small, and your only choice of seating inside is at the counter on their vinyl stools. You also have the choice of sitting on the covered front patio, or in your car. I'd recommend the inside where this preserved retro dinner from the 50's shines. The wait staff might be rough around the edges, but are friendly, and are likely to have a conversation with you. Kappy's might not be the newest restaurant, but theres something to say about Local Tradition and unique little restaurants that not everyone know about.
