Twin Palms is My Kind of Place – Awesome food, and I love the crowd. I feel right at home here. The ambience has a special feel to it. My favorite time to come is for the Sunday Gospel brunch.
Terrible service, delectable dishes – This place has an indoor seating and outdoor (gazebo covered patio seating. It gets very crowded during the weekends. At 10pm live bands starts playing a mixture of music or DJ spinning. It can be a fun place, however it is populated mostly by more mature people (40ish and up), there are younger crowds as well (not as much). The food was delicious. We had 4 guests in our group we all ordered different dishes. I sampled all and every single plate was tasty. I ordered Salmon - it was fresh, tasty and cooked just right. The chicken alfredo was very delectable as well. The service however was terrible. It took our server at least 15 minutes to acknowledge us. Another 15 to take our orders for drinks, 20 minutes to bring it to us. All this just for drinks. Not to mention how long the server took to come back for our food orders and how long it took for us to get our plates. Over-all we spent 2.5 hours, which wouldn't be too bad if we were enjoying ourselves. If you were sitting at a bar next to each other, trying to enjoy the music - then the place would've been perfect. However we went for a birthday dinner, it didn't go well since it was way too crowded, too loud and we couldn't even converse with each other without having to raise our voices. The plates were average amount ranges from $15 above. They have a full bar. The outdoor patio is very bright, so if you're in a romantic date this wouldn't be the right spot. Its too loud and too bright. The indoor seating may be a bit more apt for the occasion. Street parking is available, however it is very limited. There is a parking structure right next to the restaurant that offer 90 min free.
halfway to heaven.... but not quite kid. – We had our Company Party here and the service was great... Everything was so prompt and everyone was so caring to our needs. The food was really good too and the place was beautiful. The only sad thing was that they were quick to kick us out as soon as the dinner was done, even though we were spending a whole lot at the bar (we're a nightclub company). And the bar staff could have been friendlier too.
Sweet Ambience – I enjoy this restaurant so much! It's got a great patio eating area and the food is just great. I always enjoy my visit here. The staff is very friendly and the service has yet to disappoint me. They also play great jazz in the evening. A nice glass of wine and wonderful tunes.... :)
This Old Town Pasadena mainstay still packs 'em in with a cool alfresco scene and New American cuisine. – In Short
Constructed out of several connecting properties--including a one-time gas station--this large, polished restaurant fills to the brim with loyal locals, visiting revelers and celebrating couples on weekends. The main room consists of a giant cement-floor courtyard covered by a retracting tent that features the famed dual palm trees protruding through the top--perfect when the weather is good. A menu of New American cuisine features interesting spins on traditional steak and seafood favorites as well as an assortment of pizzas, pastas and small plates like tempura shrimp and a caprese tower.
Super Vibe! – Friends took me here last night for dinner, and they confirmed my trust in their good taste!
From the moment we walked in we were treated as valued guests. The service and food was great, and as mentioned the vibe was right on! Wish we had one in NorCal!
What's all the ruckus? – I don't know what everyone is raving about with this place. I was not impressed with their food. Had a luncheon with some friends and we all agreed that it wasn't all that. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to those who have a knack for flavorful food even if it is just a simple pasta dish. It was just too ordinary. It's okay I guess you're into sitting in a garden-like room but I like to spend my money on GOOD FOOD not just ambiance.
Live Music! – Good food, good atmosphere and live music too! Since its outdoor dining, its great for a breezy summer night!
Nice atmosphere – Good food, very nice to eat here when it's nice weather. Always good service and I believe that they have live music Friday and Saturday evening until 10pm.
Great Atmosphere but soso brunch – My sorority has organized bruches every semester, but their brunch buffet never change. The food is not outstanding, it's just average taaste with usual sussage, egg, omelette...etc. Also, there are quite a few desserts, but not one of them is good.
