peeyew – I went there with my wife for something different and boy did we get it.(bad food) and a high price. To start with the bread was bland, I had the she crab soup it had the texture of paste and had a certain after taste that reminded me of late night prayer sessions after to much partying. I also had the lobster tail which was coated in spices but still couldnt hide the fact that it was a frozen old tail. My wife tried the chesapeak platter, A good choice our server said (He must be into culinary S&M) the only thing that tasted right was the broccoli. So my recs are dont go dont buy dont waste your time, if you want seafood go to gordons fisherman aisle 5 publix.
Overpriced, poor quality, small portions – I actually created a citysearch account so I could review this restaurant. When I say it is absolutely dreadful, I mean it. I ordered the bronzed (sweet spicy combo of sugar and blackening) grouper. I got about a six ounce piece for 26 bucks...awesome! Not only that, it had no flavor. The bronzed wasn't such a great idea after all. I would literally not eat here again if they paid me. It is ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL! Do not waste your money!
Not worth the price – We went to Crab House specifically for our 7 year old son- he loves crab legs. We decided to spring for it, even though it was slightly out of the budget range we wanted to stay within. As Vivian says in 'Pretty Woman', "BIG mistake...big..huge". I ordered what was called the "Blue crab special"- a traditional New England style crab claw dinner that included boiled red potates and corn on the cob. Sounds good, right? Yes, that's the operative word: SOUNDS. The carb claws barely had any meat in them, the potatoes were dry and flavorless, and the corn? Even my 7 year old, who simply loves corn-on-the-cob, said "No thanks" when I offered him one. Can't blame him; the corn was slimey and chewy all at once. When you have to stop at Burrito King on the way home from a restaurant because you're famished, that's not a good sign. Avoid Crab House and try another seafood joint. Extremely pricey for a whole lot of nothing. Plus, our waitress called our son a "spaz"- she received almost no tip.
