Horrible- If you don't feel like reading all of this just know this shop is VERY-
Sloppy, Unorganized, Snobby, Apathetic, Disinterested
Wow- where to even start? I stopped in the store on my way out of town for a cruise looking for that one special unique, not "cookie-cutter" dress. I immediately was shoved into a dressing room and asked a million questions. The lady was helping me did not care about my wedding or the style that I wanted. She insisted that she knew best and that she would bring in 6 dresses for me to try on. She left and came back with 6 dresses two of my style and 5 of hers. She invited some intern in and they told me to get undressed. I am a little shy and don't even like changing in front of my own mother- so now we have a consultant, an intern, my mom, sister, and then my aunt who I barely know (but she suggested the place so she had to go). She kept telling me to hurry up. I was very overwhelmed. I found my dress (the one style dress that I suggested) and was so happy! The consultant was like is this it- ill need you to fill out the paperwork. Before I could even get dressed she was in my face with a clipboard telling me how much I had to pay when I needed to pay and to sign it. Just so you know all this information that she is throwing at me during the greatest and most nervous moment of my life so far is not written down anywhere. I sign it and she shoo's me out to the desk in the front to pay my bill. She never congratulated me, never thanked me- when I left room I never saw her again.
The sample size I tried on fit like a glove and I wanted to make sure that they ordered that size for me. I called when I got back from my cruise to check in on the size and I got several different answers every time I called. If this place is so good- shouldn't they have my information on file and be able to just pull it out. Oh wait forgot to tell you the receipt I got- is on a standard invoice sheet from staples. Sketchy to say the least.
Come October I get a call to pay a portion of my bill. They had informed me that I could pay as I needed until the dress came in. Dress was ordered in June- to be delivered in January. I could not pay all of it yet and had planned on making a payment in November. They called me every three weeks to tell me about trunk shows- why would I need to go to a trunk show when I have already ordered a dress from you? Thanks for making me feel like my experience was unique. I got a call at the beginning of November saying my dress was in- I was so happy. I let them know that I would be calling in a week to pay off the dress. I called back ready to pay the dress off and get it shipped (I live out of state) and they informed me that my dress was not in and that it should be shipped sometime in January (original ship date)- ok #2 sketchy moment.
I called in January to pay the remaining balance and they said that they would call me by the 22nd to let me know status of dress. I did not hear from them so I called- the guy on the phone said that the lady with all the files was not there and he didnt know the status on my dress. He then said she would call me the next day and hung up.
EXCELLENT! – I was dredding my Gown Search. CP was the 1st store I went to and they were so much help. She knew exactly what I wanted; styel, color, look, budget, everything. If you are looking for a gown in Coral Gables area, you have to go here. Their selection and service is the best!
Okay – I was excited to go to Chic Parisien upon reccommendation of a friend who used them for her wedding. I scheduled an appointment with someone who did not sound entirely happy to be scheduling me in, though perhaps it was an off day, everyone has those right? I went in with the highest expectations, and it wasn't all bad. I understand when a store is busy and you aren't promtly waited on, but it wasn't busy and I wasn't waited on. I wasn't allowed to see the selection of gowns, and I wasn't really brought out anything that I was looking for. The things she brought were beautiful, very beautiful, but just not what I had asked for. I felt as if the lady kindof snubbed me off because I wasn't in love with her choices. It got a little akward and uncomfortable, so I decided to call it a day early. I wasn't impressed, but I'm sure its great for others!
WOW! – Am I glad I didnt read any of these reviews before I drove an hour and a half accompanied by "the moms" (his and myne) to Chic parisien. All I can say is that I am also (as many of the reviewers wrote) not exactly a pro at this wedding dress buisness and was very anxious about finding my gown for the big day. When I arrived, I was greeted by the staff and introduced to Keidy, my saleperson, whom I was assigned. She was AMAZING, and by far, the most patient, accomodating, understanding, sweet, helpful, right on target salesperson I could ever have hoped for. She patiently looked through the pictures I had brought, helped me look for dresses and was receptive to anything my moms/myself picked up off the racks. This was my second time going to look for a dress (first time I looked in boca raton/boynton beach) and this was a very different experience, for the the better. I tried on 10-20 gowns at least at chic parisien and Keidy was not the least bit annoyed, she had so much patience! and when we started to ask about prices and told her what I wanted to spend, she was respectful of that and did not try to upsell me. She really listened to what I wanted and after I tried on a few gowns, she brought more (and you could tell she was paying attention to what I liked and really "got me"). We were there for about 3 hours trying dresses on. She was very creative in trying to make my price point work and even gave me useful advice on where to cut corners. She completely agreed when I said I wouldnt walk out of there with a dress, unless the dress gave me that much talked about "this is the one" feeling. When I put on "my dress", I couldnt believe it was me in that dress, my mother was speechless, and my future mother in law was teary eyed. Keidy was a part of that moment, and as she said felt blessed to be a part of that special day. This was an incredible moment for me, it still seems surreal (it happened this past weekend) and she, and of course chic parisien, will forever be a part of one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I feel sad for you if you read the other reviews, and deprive yourself of possibly having the MOST UNBELIEVABLE experience at Chic Parisien. Keidy was my angel, dont miss out on meeting yours and having that much sought after moment. I walked out with MY DRESS and I am not looking back!!!!
Ughh – I was actually dreading wedding dress shopping because I have heard from my friends what a true "hassle" it is. I hate being hassled to buy something, and these people have hit it on the head. From the minute you walk in the door it is deal time, not shop for your wedding gown time.
