Best Italian Restaurant In Miam! – The caption by the 5 stars says it all! RUN DO NOT WALK to this place! I have been going ever since I was seven! This place is the "classic italian restaurant". From the music to the food this is Little Italy in Miami! I love this place and will continue going. Very family oriented and the waiters treat you like family! If your looking for some tasty food and a beautiful atmosphere!!
Pizza was OK...Menu limited...Not authentic – So I read the reviews and figured it would be better than average but I was dissapointed! The salad and bread that came out was pretty bad...Some shredded lettuce a wedge of tomato and a weak vinaigrette. The pizza was fine but nothing exciting. We tried the lasagna, chicken parm, and some other stuffed pasta with spinach and meat and all of it seems bland and they used the same meat base for all the dishes. They had only red sauce based dishes, with the exception of a fettuccine alfredo. Overall it was overpriced food that wasn't very good. There are much better places in Miami. For those of you that put up reviews that have been eating here for years and that this is the best Italian place in Miami you all need to broaden your palettes and go to a real Italian restaurant. Sorry Nunzios!
Excellent Food, Excellent Service – I was so surprised to see some of these negative comments! I have been a loyal customer for years and the food here is delicious! They charge the same prices as any other restaurant, nothing overpriced. The portions here are huge! I often find myself asking for a bag to take home the rest of my meal. You definitely get what you pay for here, and it's worth every penny! Even actor Patrick Dempsey ("McDreamy") ate here (twice), and I wouldn't say he's either overweight or a "geezer."
Fat people food. – My parents like coming to this place, they have coming for a while. They always want me to go with them and i tell them hell no. The pizza is fine and all, but the food is not that good. Everything has meat sauce and it looks and taste like dog food covered in cheese. Also every time I go I see the same scene: Overweight kids/adults/geezers. the service is ok tho.
Sad to say it's not the way it was before – We and our family have been eating at Nunzio's for over 15 years. It used to be a place where you'd get a great meal at a fair price amid a family-oriented ambiance.
The past few visits have been very disappointing. It seems that the portions are much smaller and the prices have gone way up so that it's no longer a good value. For example, the last time we were there we ordered a "large" cheese pizza which would be a medium anywhere else and it was $20!!!, and it wasn't even that good. I thought at first when I began to notice these changes that, like most places, they were cutting back on portions to control costs, but if you're serving less and charging more than it's just a rip-off. I don't plan on returning anytime soon and it's a shame that a wonderful place where we celebrated many happy occasions won't be in our plans in the future.
Worst Italina Restaurant in Miami, Fl. – Not authentic Italian. Definitely not the best Italian in Miami
Excellent Italian Food! – The food is delicious at Nunzios. It's a small Family owned Restaurant with authentic Italian Food. Highly Recommended! I love the Baked Ziti and the Zupetta is a must have for dessert!
Best Italian cooking i've ever had! – WOW! It came highly recomended, and I admit after reading the negative comments here I was a bit thrown off, but....we went anyways! Incredible food, real home cooking, cozy atmosphere, spectacular dessert, great service....and the garlic rolls, they almost melt in your mouth!!! You have to go at least once!
The Best Italian Restaurant In The City Of Miami! – Nunzio's Ristorante is one of the best italian restaurants i have gone to so far! In the City of Miami this should be a highly recognized restaurant and be made famous for it's delicious cuisine and their original dessert recipe called Zuppetta which is superb!!!! They also make a nice Bruschetta for the antipasto which prepares you for the actual entree that will knock your socks off! The decor and tables are nice, clean & proper! They also have tons of Family photos hanging from the wall which gives off a sweet family ambience in the restaurant. Bring your family here because i totally recommend it and i guarantee your family will have fun and eat well here! :)
Your money is better spent at any other restaurant except this one. – After my second attempt at eating at Nunzio's, I finally gave up and I feel the need to write something about this place. Nunzio's very Italian and intimate setting is a very attracting feature to the restaurant, however due to what seem like budget cuts or supply issues the entrees here are very sparse and very low in quality.
One thing that however is not sparse are its very hearty prices and laughable bread and salad. What I got was a plain 8 inch loaf of crunchy white bread with some butter and Parmesan cheese powder (to give it that Italian zest?). No olive oil or ground pepper will be found here. The salads are so small they are insulting; a handful of pieces of lettuce with a tomato and some vinaigrette.
As for the entree itself, it left much to be yearned for. To keep it simple, one of the main ingredients was supposed to be ground beef and I spent some time scavenging my pasta to find any evidence of it! The lack of ground parmesan that should have been offered to top my plate was the least of the problems.
At the end I wondered why the entree was $15+ yet worth less than a cheap pizza? For a "four star" restaurant Nunzio's is not worth any of your money, however if you do go, I caution you that soon enough they may begin to charge for water, and also hire "Chef Boyardee" as their main cook.
I tend to see more and more spontaneous;
'5 Star OMG this is the best place ever !*&^%'
With witty three liner reviews containing italian phrases and generic marketing psalms like 'Run, do not walk!' and 'I'm surprised to see negative comments' or 'Actor Patrick Yada Yada ate here!' (As if i were shallow enough to make my dining choice based upon that of some celebrity)
Guys, cut it out, stop telling your family and friends to get on miami.citysearch and post positive comments to sway the star rating. This is america, this is freedom of expression and speech, if people are saying a place is sub-standard than it is. You try to work together as a business and bring it back up, not go online and try to rig public opinion or flood a
blog with generic and vague 'BeSt iTaLiAn PlAce eVeR !&^%' Like some middle school face book tweenagers.
There is no best anything anywhere in this city, its all perspective, if you're calling any place the best anything especially Nunzio's the best italian place than i can bet it is the ONLY italian you have ever eaten.
