what are you people talking about????! – I just waited 2 1/2 hours for my food to be delivered. I called an hour after I ordered the food and was told it was "on the way". When the delivery guy finally came, he was high as a kite and said something like "oh they sent me to coral springs... if you call the restaurant, they might give you something free". After all of that, it was the WORST pad thai I have ever eaten.
I Love Su-Shin!! – I have been craving Su Shin. When I lived down in ft. lauderdale i went there at least 3 times a week. Love the people working there. great family. "Hi John!!", and miss it a lot. when I visit again Su shin will be my first stop. and my last. all my family and friends love it here.!!!
The food is awesome! I can say much of the sushi, I only tried it once and it was ok, but I am not a huge fan so I don’t have much to compare to. Now Thai food….that is the best place in town. Not huge or fancy but cozy and familiar. Jumbo shrimps and eggplants…hummm! Would definitely recommend it!
PS: My son looooved the fish tank.
Sadly Done For – This place needs to save themselves before it's too late with a major overhaul and reopening! Everyone (including us) use to be regulars and now all agree that this place is high priced, low, low budget, filthy. Such a shame!
Best Sushi/Japanese Restaurant as Far as I am Concerned – I cannot speak for the sushi itself because I have the same thing every time I go there, never including just raw fish. The hirosami salad is TO DIE FOR (I get it with extra spicy sauce on the side when I am sharing). Then we share the beef tataki (not on the menu, but they will make it for you). I get two crab sashimis with my sushi rolls (usually the spider crab roll and something uncooked-like a J & B roll or Tuna something). The crab is so sweet and fresh tasting. I have eaten at plenty of other sushi/Japanese restaurants and none compare. I have been eating there for over 13 years and cannot get enough. I do however know better then going to a sushi place right before they close and expect fresh fish and polite service. Also, there is nobody less forgiving about all things dining then people who are "in the biz". Trust me, my husband's a nightmare when we go out to eat.
Not what it used to be. – I used to go to here a long time ago when sushi places weren't on every corner and they were great. Always friendly, great menu and a good quality meal. Not so any more. I went there a couple of nights ago on a Saturday night at 10:35....they close at 11. I work in the biz and hate late arrivals, but I was not planning on camping out....I just wanted to eat and get out. The service was poor....we got entrees before appetizers, were never provided with chop sticks or napkins, until we waved our server down several minutes after our food arrived. We were never checked back on....but who cares anyhow, because the food was garbage. Possibly the crappiest quality Japanese food I may have ever had. Everything was bland and didn't taste very fresh. Throughout our "meal" the server was standing about 15 feet away just chatting away on her cell phone, not giving a hoot about how much we hated this very average dinner. I over tipped her, but it was NOT deserved. I just wanted to leave the whole time that we were there, because that's exactly what it felt like they wanted us to do. I will not return, and I do not recommend you do either.
Love this place! – My first sushi experience was at Su-Shin at the age of 12. I am now 31, living in NYC, and still consider this place to be my favorite! When I come to visit S. Florida, this is the first place I go to. Living in NY for 12 years, I have eaten at some very fancy sushi places, but none of them can hold a candle to this place! By all means this is not a fancy place, but who cares- it's about the food anyway. I usually order the chef salad loaded with the best tasting carrot/ginger dressing you will ever have! They should market it, until then?I take home a pint of it after my meal. The service is excellent, and the sushi is heaven.
Better than it ever was – Hellfuzz doesn't know what he/she is talking about. The food is better than ever and the service is superb. Maybe you showed up 5 minutes prior to closing and were cranky. After an 11:00 dinner is not the norm. This is absolutely the best sushi in 3 counties and I've eaten the cuisine all over the world. It is comparable to the food in San Francisco, Seattle and New York.
THE WORST – If you want good sushi, don't even think about this place!
Ate there last night and now I know the meaning of POOR sushi.
